Lovely shots Stephen, much better exhaust in your neck of the woods, I presume this was the only stock available, cheers 👍

It was not scorchio here today and very breezy at times plus I got lucky with breaks in the rain. I have been puzzling myself regarding the raspberry ripple stock. I suspect that the rake are fairly recent acquisitions for LSL and may have been repainted in the old inter city livery and could have been in storage for a long time as ex Virgin stock that became surplus to requirements when the Pendelinos and Voyagers were introduced. Its all speciulation on my part and no doubt someone could supply the answer but thanks for the comment.

On second thoughts the coaches could be ex 225 stock which has been replaced with the introduction of the Azumas on ECML services and these coaches would have carried this livery when the electric 225 trains were first introduced in the early 90's before privatisation and would have subsequently carried GNER and LNER liveries so I am going for a repaint back to their originals.

@@StephenDrysdaleBroughtylad HSTs mk3 didn’t have buffers between the carriages, these do. They are most likely ex virgin stock.
