I love this new kit and the 20s era! Journaling designs from the 20s-60s are my favorites. We see current things in everyday life and it makes my heart smile to see things from decades long past. Love your book reviews at the start of each month. Readers love to hear from other readers - even if you don't share the same tastes. Ray Bradbury is one of my hubby's favorite authors but I don't care for SciFi. Great video and I look forward to delving into this kit! Thank you for your wonderful creativity. 💖

Thinking about your gelli print difficulties perhaps, if your room is heated, the atmosphere may be too dry so that the gel medium in the paint dries immediately and acts like a glue sticking the paper to the gell plate. The problem with your punch maybe because the punch is becoming a bit blunt with use so that it just creases and bends the printing paper rather than cutting it.❤

They're awesome prints, I'm gathering the courage with help from your comment section. Oh I always add an extra sheet when punching copy paper. Gel plate is the ultimate diva product🙈. Oh 1920's is my favourite era for style and elegance, great music for it too! I love Wodehouse books too. Scary doing the ephemera first! I'm sitting designing papers right now. Oh no 🙈, but there's always a way....off camera! Yes I like the book reviews. I've been too tired for reading lately as I only get time at night. Ooh another mystery! Sounds very familiar actually. Yes, that's it, 'and then there was one'. I like Christie too, especially Poirot. Oh WOW The illustrated man has been on my list for EVER. That lace goes beautifully😍. Gorgeous! Beautiful work! I love the ephemera's vibrancy. I'm an artist with 50+ years working in several mediums such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, soft pastel, charcoal, colored pencil, etc... I also did a lot of scrapbooking and card making, which I taught decades ago. Two areas I need to teach myself are creating digital art and learning how to use Gelli plates(both are foreign to me). Thank you for sharing your creativity with us! It's very helpful to see what others are doing as I'm learning a new way to create art.

Hiii! I absolutely ADORE the digikit - the two cards with the women have me SOLD! Sometimes, finding African American or black women represented in journaling is quite difficult so any time I see it I fall in love (not to race bait or anything !!!) I've had similar outcomes with prints using a standard copy paper designed for color retention. It has a special core that takes longer to dry, but holds the pigment in the paper longer. I think it's called colorlok technology. I had to wait 3 days to get the acrylic paint to dry to the core of the paper to come off my plate without ripping. Now, I stick to copy paper that claims to be for black and white documents or is missing the colorlok logo.

Hi, Barbara! I have some questions: Do you always add the same number of pages to your monthly signatures? How do you decide about paper bags or paper pages/ printed pages? Do you always sew all your signatures in when you make your journal or have you ever decided on your signatures, decorated, then sew them in? I aee some people decorate their pages before they include them in the journal. Love your videos, especially the ones with "Oh, no"! moments. 😮 I need to see as many rescues as possible! 😊 TFS ❤❤❤

Hi Susan, yes, for my planners it’s always 4 folded pages and 1-2 random paper bags or other smaller papers in between. I decorate them after I sew in the signatures because I create the monthly kits month my month.

Oh dear. The white & clear embossing are definitely messing with you lol. Maybe emboss a stamp in a circle with each & stick them on top of the relevant containers as a visual cue to let you know which is which when you’re busy creating. Although then we’d miss out on your “oh no’s” 🤭 🤗

Barbara, if my memory serves me right (sometimes it doesn’t😳) you were using white chalk paint? Chalk paint works differently than acrylic paint. I really think it was your chalk paint causing you issues. I have used inexpensive craft paint before and have never had any issues. Hugs! ❤️

Is this a new batch of copy paper Barbara? If you haven’t got a new brand, I’m wondering if the manufacturers changed something about it that is making the fibres less tightly bound, because it seemed to absorb moisture really quickly on the Gelli plate (the wrinkles are stretching from moisture absorption). And if you had problems with the image transfer as well, it suggests there’s something wrong with the paper. I’m guessing the fact that it’s full colour means that you used a glue or image transfer medium & then rubbed away the paper, and since the stretching & tearing of the paper was the problem in the Gelli printing, it makes sense if it was a problem in the image transfer too. Have they added in bamboo fibres or something?. If it’s an existing batch you’ve had no issues with before, is it being stored somewhere colder/more damp than normal? Maybe just use this for coffee dyeing & printing & try a new batch? Your paper has become my brain teaser of the month lol 😊 Love your new digi kit 💕 Art Deco & Art Nouveau are my two favourite vintage eras - 🤗 Carrie
