How to Make a Fun Envelope Journal/Start to Finish/Tutorial/Digital Collage Club Design Team Project

In this tutorial I would like to share my process of making a fun envelope journal out of 1 large and 2 small envelopes. While you can use anything to decorate this journal, I will be using the lovely Woodland Tales Kit from The Digital Collage Club.

I just love that you show us your mistakes. I know I will make millions of them as I am a very new journaler. I haven't even tried to make one yet but love to watch the tutorials. I have been doing some shopping so I have what I need to make one when I am ready.

You are so right - envelopes are super fun to use and there are so many ways to use them! This was just darling; I had the kit downloaded before you could say "in the forest". 😉 My new home is in a heavily forested region and I regularly see deer, turkey, and other wildlife. This journal is so perfect and I already know who I am going to give it to. I like how you tore the edges of the signature - that added some nice texture.

What a beautiful kit. I would have covered the frog as well. Although, strangely, I like lizards. I love that binding method with the tie! Definitely must try this for my next trip or maybe I can figure a way to make it a December Daily!

When I need a Barbara fix, I go searching through your older videos. I love this idea and have 7 different themes in process. I’m gonna try the seam binding closure and have dyed lengths of my white Hug Snug seam binding to match the different themes. You are keeping me busy! 🥰

This is such a beautiful journal!! Beautiful woodland theme and I love the concept of envelope based journals with the natural pockets! Last week I actually did a version of the smaller envelope based map journal you filmed earlier this year, and I did a similar thing with the binding combined with closing, on that, as you did here, it’s so convenient when all is attached! (I will tag you on instagram when I get around to post pictures.... )
