Love this and can't wait for part two. I had to chuckle at your "band aid" trick to fix the tears. Reminded me of something I was told years ago at a stamping class... Mistakes/Accidents are simply embellishment opportunities! Luise Heinzl and you are both fabulous!!

I'm really liking this... I just made another one, experimenting again. I used just the 3 envelopes but this time got *6 big pockets* (no small ones) without any waste (just fold, cut, glue). Not counting the front and back covers, I have 10 pages. None of the pockets open on the outside edge when the book is closed, so nothing can fall out (that's a peeve of mine). 👍😁

Can't wait for part 2. Happy accidents are the best aren't they? I am working on a steampunk journal and sewing a corset onto a page and one side moved so it isn't even on both sides. But I left it. My friend said it looked intentional. Lol

A light dusting of powder or cornstarch will also remove the stickiness from the envelopes.

Ooh I love an envelope project! That's a lovely paper pack😍 I hadn't found that yet! Yes, paper quality does matter. Yes a border is smart looking. I constantly forget to ink first 🙈. I use Collal and 3 in 1, they do have different viscosities which is handy. Luise is so 😎cool and funny! Looking great, can't wait to see the next one! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Awesome grungy envelope journal l love making journals with envelopes since making my first stacked journal with envelopes just as you said, so many ways to do them. I watched this a few days ago, and tried to make one today. I obviously have a bad memory... I ended up with *5 big pockets* and two smaller ones, still a trifold, with 2 big pocket flaps inside. I didn't have anything left to make tuck spots. I didn't make sleeves, so nothing can fall out.

Loving the grunge, newbie here! Quick question, how do you stop card stock or toppers from buckling after they get wet? I'm hand staining them and they warp :( TIA the Quirky Gardener x

Thanks! I don’t think you can stop them from buckling. I would put them under heavy books for a couple of hours after they are dry.

Hello Barbara. I really enjoy your tutorials and have joined the DCC. I have a question… do you have a tip for running your tea dyed paper through your printer? I tried and since the paper was so wrinkled, the ink splotched.
