4K/60p: LIRR M3 Front Window Jamaica to Hempstead

Күн бұрынFrom a week ago. With no Work, had nothing to do. Had the Dentist in the morning and after that, looked for more M3 opportunities in the afternoon. Took one from Atlantic Terminal all the way to Hempstead then did a video back to Jamaica. Video starts a little East of Jamaica due to my left thumb being inflamed a little from holding my phone so tight while going through the tunnels and needed to let it settle down a little while stopped at Jamaica.

OOOHH, I wanted to see the rest of this. You always show the trains automatically going from one track to the next, but to never see the tracks move. Anyway, thanks and have a great weekend.

Great video! Used to live two blocks south of Nassau Blvd. as a teen. Back then they had freights running from the Mitchell secondary into the city. We'd hop them at Nassau and ride them to Stewart Manor. Didn't tell my mom till 30 years later and she was still pissed about it.

That's cool you got more footage, at least they will be around longer. I got to redo the Long Beach one since rain affected the footage I think.

Garden City-Mitchell Field Secondary. It's been truncated and ends at MOW facility. It used to host the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus train. See kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbmaf8hqyMyRZnk.html

The (somewhat) abandoned Central branch. Back in the LIRR's heyday it had a branch that ran from right before flushing main st to babylon. Stations (from flushing): Kissena: Abandoned Frankinston: Abandoned Creedmore: Abandoned Hinsdale: Abandoned Stewart Manor: In Service Nassau Blvd: In Service Garden City: In Serivice Washington st: Abandoned Clinton rd: Abandoned Mitchel Field: Abandoned Meadowbrook: Abandoned Sailsbury Plains: Abandoned Bethpage Junction: Station Abandoned; Junction still in service South Farmindale: Abandoned There is only two traces of the central branch going to/coming from flushing: There is a trackless bridge next to the main line a couple yards east of floral park. Thats where it would have gone off of. There's abandoned track next to the Port Washington Brch from Mets-Willets point to just west of Flushing Main st station. the only surviving track is the one you pointed out. It ends somewhere right before the Mitchel Field station
