You caught my attention when you said that you still collect DVD's. I'm a modest collector of physical media. Before DVD's became available in the late 1990's I collected Laser Discs. Although not nearly successful as the DVD/Blu-ray format became, LD's offered the best viewing and audio content available at the time; especially in comparison to VHS. I still have my first generation Toshiba DVD player and my 32 year old Sony Laser Disc player. Today I use them as a couple of static displays in my home theater entertainment center. I retired them years ago. I still buy DVD's when a movie I want isn't available on Blu-ray.

I’m tempted to get into collecting Laserdiscs. If i come across a player that has life in it then I just might. Yeah, I tend to get DVDs usually if something isnt available in Bluray format
