6:25 I met that fursuiter and guys on the right to get pictures! They were super nice and very friendly! He even gave me a hug lol And 13:15 with the Ghostbuster cosplayer

After seeing what my boyfriend came out with from this event it should be highly illegal for you to be able to bring your children to something like this it should definitely be 18+

They usually cover anything nsfw up via sensoring or completely covering until the after dark segment ^^

By after dark, i mean usually if the con allows minors then theyll have a specific time for people to dress in more suggestive wear, usually its about 8pm to midnight or very early in the morning!

I've seen anime and comic cons have more pornographic content in broad daylight public spaces than fur cons. The addition of sectioned off Night Markets and adult only spaces is actually way more forward thinking than most cons, and you generally won't find anything actually 18+ out in public unless you're pearl-clutching about it. Texas also seems to have a very adult focused con circuit compared to others, so I can certainly see the argument over it, and I go over this in my review of the con. And honestly? As the fandom develops, I feel like we need more respectful safe spaces for adults and the steps currently being taken are good starts. However, hotels are technically public spaces, and if parents want to take their kids to an R-rated movie you can't stop then either. There's a lot of discussion and nuance about this that I'm not going to get into on a KZfaq comment, but the tldr is that regardless of con, whether it be furry, anime, or real estate, if you look to be offended you will be.

@@Kite Very much agree with this, though i think the con does need to be more strict on the seperation of the dealer's den and night market. Was watching through this video for fun and there was a number of visible obviously 18+ or suggestive items on sale

@@ytdl I'm actually unsure if there was a formal Night Market at TFF, though many other cons are adopting it as a standard headliner event. While suggestive and fails the "would you show this to your grandma" test, there was nothing overtly 18+ out in the open, as far as I can tell. I believe there was a dedicated 18+ space for the Usual Suspects. I've seen much, much worse out in plain sight at an anime con (and boy do I have stories of being a teenager at anime cons...). You'd see worse things in a PG-13 movie or cosplay contest nowadays. I would think it's impossible to sanitize these spaces perfectly, and imposing blanket "decency" requirements is a pandoras box the fandom isn't ready for, given its history and modern subcultural context. Ultimately, it depends on where on the sliding scale do you consider things "adult" and how far you want to push the boundries between "lewd", or "sexualized", or "pornographic" in your self-expression.
