Gran Canaria (2024) is the third largest island of the Grand Canary Island in Spain after Tenerife and Fuerteventura. However, Gran Canaria is the most populous island with almost 1 million inhabitants living permanently on the island, including many Northern European settlers. The capital and biggest city of the island is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria is part of the so-called Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean in front of the Coastline of Morocco, Africa. The highest mountain Morro de la Agujereada of Gran Canaria has an altitude of almost 2,000 m.

¡ Hola !. Vivo y soy canario. La ley Española es,muy restrictiva con respecto al vuelo de drones ( se sanciona = multa ). Hay muchos espacios protegidos. Gran Canaria tiene muchas reservas { bosques - playa de dunas (Maspalomas - playa del Confital - Las Coloradas), espacios donde hay aves,y no se puede bajo ningún concepto,el vuelo de drones{ sólo pueden utilizar drones la policía / bomberos / servicios de emergencia y militares }. " Supongo que habrá información,en las páginas webs del gobierno de la isla ( "CABILDO DE GRAN CANARIA" y la "CONSEJERIA DE TURISMO DE GRAN CANARIA" ). Desde Las Palmas de Gran Canaria atentamente saludos.

@@lorenzobianchini4415 That's an interesting one. I adore the interior of Gran Canaria (Roque Bentayga, Roque Nublo etc), but then Tenerife has the superb Anaga Mountains in the north-east and Masca in the north-west. I think all the Canaries are so lovely in their own way.

The city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the most populous city in the Canary Islands and the ninth largest city and metropolitan area in Spain. Yes Tenerife is the most populated island in the Canary Islands but the most populated island in Spain is Mallorca in the Mediterranean, Balearic Islands.
