The sand, though, looks a little too soft and fluffy.... The character sinks too deep and leaves footprints like in snow. But the game as a whole looks amazing

i've just bought a new pc with a rtx 4080 card, got this game and cranked everything to max in 2k...it looks amazing to every detail...can't imagine in 4k oled with true hdr10..still gotta try cyberpunk and alan wake 2 to confront them but this game is surely in my top 5 graphics wise...just amazing...waiting on ghost of tsushima now!

It really is amazing on my LG CX oled at 4k 120fps. I also have a 4080 and I’m telling you, you gotta get an oled. The games are night and day difference. There are also 4k 240hz 1000+ nit oled monitors that just came out and a few more coming this year if you can only do monitors over tv’s. I’m getting myself one soon as well for the more competitive gaming like cod. Do your 4080 justice and get an oled already 😊

Man, that hero lighting on aloy looks downright silly, as if there's an invisible spotlight following her around everywhere. Hopefully there's a mod to disable it.

@@harissajid8224 It's basically an additional light source to highlight the main character. Like I said in my original comment, it's basically like an invisible spotlight is shining a light on aloy everywhere she goes. It's just too strong when it's enabled.

The hero light is there for a reason . This game uses traditional baked lighting and as we all know baked lighting doesn’t do well with characters so without the hero light the character has no proper light to react which will make her face look glowy and odd in certain instances as shown in the ps4 version but I do see why some people find it annoying but I actually think it’s a smart way to deal with the light issue

You don't even need framegen on a relatively up to date mid range system to get 60fps @1044p. On a high end system like this, 4K @60fps should be easily doable most of the time. This game is quite well optimized and uses available hardware resources fully.

@@axelhopfinger533 He's asking because DIgital Dreams is using a reshade preset that he sells on his Patreon. That preset has a shader that gives screen space Ray tracing effects. Reflections/global illumination. So 60fps @4k, more then likely uses frame gen. (I know all this because I'm a Patreon of Digital Dreams)

@Miguel-fi3we - I'm pretty sure he's using frame gen as he can't be using DLSS. The RTGI breaks on this game with DLSS. Depth buffer has issues. As I have a 4090 as well. I just have a 5950x instead of 7950x.

It's because its in SDR mode, the luma table is linear so its a bit inaccurate.

The character models are inferior on PC compared to the ps5 version. The textures are inferior compared to the ps5 version. The cloud tech is also garbage on the PC version. The foilage coverage in the world is inferior to the PS5 version. do to the fact that the peasant PC cannot stream in assets like the mighty PS5 can. I have the screenshots to prove it

It's little bit less boring, side quests are now more enjoyable and with those top tier cutscenes it's nice to look at. But if someone really don't like first game, this will not be different, i guess.
