Kamloops is always well known for dry and dusty conditions, trails getting bombed out and sweltering heat- but during the springtime, with the help of some rain and cool temperatures we had some of the best conditions I've ever ridden in! From fixing up and riding my freeride trail, to the absurdly fast gullies of Rio with my "trail-dog-in-training", and finally to the the Kamloops Bike Ranch for some of the sickest jump lines around- this off season has been an awesome time and I can't wait to get back in the fall! And sorry for the bike ranch footage looking weird, I accidentally switched it to single lens mode and lost like half the footage :P
I was lucky enough to have around 3 weeks at home to see my family and friends and honestly I didn't get out to ride nearly as much as I would've liked. Most of the rides I didn't film either, which I do kinda regret now since there was super cool new stuff being developed, but all in all I got done what I wanted to get done and had a great time while doing it! Also, like half the clips from the bike ranch day were completely unusable since I accidentally switched the camera into single-lens mode and had it pointed towards me so that's too bad since the trails were mintttt that day. Realistically, I've been finding it tough to get used to the bike again after so much skiing and I've yet to have a day where I really feel 100%. So, I've been taking it pretty easy and just enjoying the process of getting back to it and now that I'm back in Whistler I'm sure things will pick up again! Speaking of, today was Whismas and I got out for some great laps (which I didn't film again, sorry) and it's got me super stoked for the upcoming season! I also have some serious upgrades I gotta do to my bike, which has been taking some time to get organized and I don't really feel like battering the poor thing too much before any of that gets done.
