Old but Gold!
This game give me a lot of memories from my childhood.
Pure nostalgy when i hear the soundtrack.
So i decided to make a video and a reshade-preset for it :)

It is in works, someone is making it on UE4 or 5, I forgot which one, but it is being remade on a modern engine. Still in progress since recreating a map isn't that easy or takes a lot of time.

Nice but the increased contrast is making the game too dark for my taste. Originally the game has very bright and pleasant colors.

Thats right, on YT and especially on mobile devices it looks too dark. While playing on pc it looks just right.

@@CYON4D Especially the increased contrasts turns most textures being rainbow colored (e.g. grey walls, road, sewer etc get a rainbow pattern)

I played the crap out of this on PS1 summer of 98, loved it. A few months later, a mate showed me the pc version running on a voodoo 2. The frame rate and smoothness blew my mind! lol

This was my most favorite NFS game also because of it's music tracks. We need a remake of NFS 3, also i miss the replay cams in all the modern versions.

As much as I enjoy underground and most wanted, Need for speed isn't what it used to be. I'm hoping that a new racing game franchise would be able to follow the same classic roots that NFS did back then, and hopefully bring back Rom di prisco to do NFS style music again.

I like that it's not overdone. It's still clearly a 90s game. The little details give it that much more polish. To me it looks like how we all perceived it when it first came out if anything.

Top be honest, even the "vanilla" game with the modern patch looks really nice. Still playing from time to time on split screen with some friends on weekends at home while drinking a beer . We also play Carbon and MW2005 in splitScreen. Really fun games to rememeber childhood

O MY FUCKING GOD ITS ACTUALLY WORKING!! I can't thank you enough, I've never been around for these older games( 2001hp was my first one) but I'd really like to play them, but the game kept crashing. But now I can finally play it on PC, it's looking great and the gameplay is even better. Thank you so much.

The music is amazing and as far as I remember there were transitions depending on the road circumstance, similar to Unreal. I liked the hometown (autumn level) and the winter level the most. Though I remember also rocky mountains. It was super realistic and breathtaking for its time.

I wish some developer would make an open world sandbox game where players can go inside the world that the Need For Speed III tracks merely passed through. I mean I would like to live in one of the houses in Hometown/Country Woods, then get in a car, and drive to the mountain of Rocky Pass/Summit and go skiing.

I used to play this game for hours when i was a kid. Is there a way to "add" HD background images? I remember that there were some software to modify tracks and cars. But i cant remember it name. I used to see the textures there

hey, somehow the game freezes on the loading screen when the bar is loaded it get stuck and the race dosnt start. What could be the problem?

Adding mods to the game can make it unstable, addon cars with hi polycount also cause that if you set up the whole grid of ai cars

so basically what this mod actualy does is increasing contrast and removing reflections? oh it's also seem to have more detailed car textures or even models but since it kills car reflections it removes the thing that made NFS III graphics stunning.

just running on a old pc p60 edo ram 128 gb vdram 128 mb and sb128 but no 4k in that time .i got a chill wjen looking at that game. remember its hard to get running on new specs pc. so this version makes it easy.

Please help me, i downloaded the game in Windows 10 and when i put the modern patch, it appears the error "Cannot init the trash driver". I searched for many solutions and there aren't any solution.

You have to edit the nf3.ini, in trashdriver section, delete nglide and select dgvoodoo, in the drivers folder, open dgvoodooconf.exe, select your own graphics card (dedicated or integrated) in general settings (adapter section), apply and OK. Si hablas español como yo (tu nombre me hace sospecharlo) y eso no te ayuda, dime
