Came here after watching the new Spider-Man ride at California adventure, I needed to see what a real ride looked like

Love how they used the least known versions of the popular villains of Spider-Man ( except for Doc Ock) like, Hobgoblin instead of the Green Goblin, Hydro-man instead of Sandman and Scream which is one of the most unknown Symbiotes in comics.

Are we gonna ignore the fact that the voice actor for Hydro-Man (Bill Fagerbakke) also provides the voice for Patrick Star, and the voice actor for Doctor Octopus (Rodger Bumpass) also provides the voice for Squidward Tentacles!? :D Edit 2024, this is still one of the greatest attractions in the world (the only dark ride I’d say is better is the Forbidden Journey, but we a monster Spider-Man fan, I do like this one more)

In just a few minutes, this ride captures the overall fun of Spidey’s entire universe. You got JJ, several villains, Stan Fucking Lee and a cool ride experience. I have no clue how Disney dropped the ball so hard.

I know this is really overlooked, but this is probably the best version of an experienced Spider-Man ever created.

If you look closely, you'll see that the movie showing at the theater Spidey lands on is called "The Clone Saga." The Clone Saga is one of the best known Spider-Man arcs in the characters history.

Guess I wasn’t the only one wondering how a brand new Disney “ride” doesn’t even come close to the o.g. one built 22 years ago, bet that Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is just going to be Rock and Roller with spinning cars and screens instead of blacklit cutouts.

I love the comical and cartoony vibe this ride gives off. With Spider-Man’s cocky and sarcastic yet heroic attitude, the villains all have over the top nefarious voice acting, and everyone is throwing puns and one-liners

i saw this video with my dad, who worked at universal before i was born. i had no interest in it, since i wasnt all that into spiderman as a little kid. BUT fast forward to a few months ago, and spiderman is literally the only thing i breathe. no joke. i went to islands of adventure with my whole family and the only thing i wanted to do- all day- was go on the spiderman ride. my first time going on it, i was a little scared because i remember there was a part where doc ock would drop the cart or whatever and it'd feel like you were falling off a building, but it honestly wasnt even that bad! if anything, it was really fun!(and my most favorite part of the ride). after it was over, i just couldnt stop jumping around at the fact that I was able to experience this ride myself in person. heck, i loved it so much that i went on it a second time! its definitely my favorite ride ever- along with rock 'n' rollercoaster

Who else is here after seeing the god awful job Disney did in 2021 compared to a ride made in 1999?

Disney had the budget and influence in Anaheim to tear down half of DCA and build a real land instead of a placeholder, but god forbid. That land has been in development for a few years, COVID cannot be an issue either. This ride uses the same screens and slower pace, but at least it FEELS more exciting with awesome sets and stellar comic book visuals. Thanks Universal, you’ve been upping your game since this ride came out.

This was one of my top favorite rides when I went to Islands of Adventures, I love spiderman so I'm glad the ride didn't disappoint me. Universal did a great job with the rides on this side of the park, the Hogsmede and Marvel rides are definitely worth it!

I can’t be the only one who was thinking of this ride during the 3rd act of No Way Home when they go to the Statue of Liberty. 5 Spider-Man villains Electro vs the villain with an element based ability (Hydro man here Sandman there) Doc Ock is here A version of Goblin I gotta ride this again AND watch the movie a 3rd time. When I went to Orlando Florida we got on this ride and fell in love with it immediately, couldn't get enough of it and on days when we would return to this theme park I would tell my family to go on ,that I would catch up with them later because I would return to this magnificent ride and ride it without them being there with me, I also enjoyed The Men In Black ride but the Spiderman ride has truly captured my heart and thank goodness it's still in operation in Florida ❤️💯

I worked at this ride when it first opened in 1999. It was hard to explain what the ride was to people because nothing like it existed anywhere yet. When they'd say "oh so it's like a simulator like Star Tours" I would say "ehhh, no, trust me you gotta ride this." It broke down frequently though probably because so much has to sync properly for the ride to work. The queue was consistently around 2 hours long everyday. Not sure if it's still there, but on the theater marquee part there was a phone number up on a sign and if you called it an irate NY-sounding guy would say they're closed. Looking back I'm so glad to have been part of this ride that very first summer in 1999.

Wow! The motion screen dark ride is better than the shooting gallery?? I wouldn’t have guessed? Literally we knew what the ride was going to be for Disneyland since day 1 of its announcement. Why is this surprising?

Dude, this ride reminds of when I was little and would watch the 90’s show with my mom. Me and my mom got to ride it and it was such a good vibe for both of us. It actually made my mom tear up since I’m getting older and it reminded her of how little I used to be. The whole Marvel Superhero Island area of Universal was my favorite area, because it was based on the 90’s cartoons and comics, which lets be honest was the best era for superheroes. This was my favorite 3D ride there and one of my favorite rides there in general. The music was 90’s too, which was awesome! 👌
