There is so much heart when she skates, it's unbelievable. She's truly special. My all time favourite female figure skater. Bar none.

Skating from this era was so much more enjoyable to watch. Nowadays the programs are so filled with extraneous footwork that they rarely fit the music. Makes them all look the same.

I think the Opposite. There is less telegraphing and more Interpretation today

Not footwork but layout. I barely see skaters with good footwork skills. Quads and shorter time programs are the biggest reason why fs is dying.

Yes...today's skating is TERRIBLE! It has become just a jumping contest. You are right...all the programs look the same ..artistry had gone out the door.....

@@joejoematic8206 More interpretation??? I agree that there is less telegraphing of jumps, but there is definitely not more interpretation today. Many of the skates today are very robotic and show little to no personality. Skaters in the 80s, 90s and 2000s oozed personality. Today not so much

Sasha's movements were clean and crisp. This was her best short program of this routine (better than Nationals and of course Worlds).

That split she gets at 2:53 is incredible. No-one gets the split that Sasha does. Not before or since.

Most perfect short program ever skated. Footwork could have been more magnificent and for that I would have not given a 6 but rather 5.9. She should have been the leader after the short program anyway.

As much as I love Michelle, I have to agree with you on that. I think Sasha should have been first in the short program ahead of both Irina and Michelle. I would have put Irina over Michelle in the short as well.

やっぱり、今の採点方式の元祖お手本。 シットスピンの腰の低さ、スパイラルの美しさ、レイバックスピンはオルゴールのお人形のよう。彼女が全シーズンから世界選手権出てたら、SP1位になっててもおかしくない

Уникальная спортсменка! Не смотря на то что иногда она делала ошибки, все равно ее катание интересное и женственное, БАЛЕРИНА НА ЛЬДУ - так про нее сказала Катарина Витт! Она первая исполнила шпагат во вращении, потом уже другие начали после нее, а спирали - ласточки даже лучше чем у Мишель Кван!

У Саши русские/украинские корни😉 Ее мама родом из Одессы. Если не ошибпюсь, ее первым тренером был бывший советский фигурист. Позже она тренировалась у Т. А. Тарасовой, а хореографом был Н. Морозов...

Can the Americans do lutz? MK, tara, sasha those three had flutz. Idk about Tonya, Kirsty, or Nancy bcs I havent seen with better camera work. US lady nowadays only Karen who can do lutz.

К сожалению Саша вообще не прочувствовала музыку, не поняла суть драматичной истории. Весь прокат улыбалась😅

Вот и мне показалось, Саша сама по себе, а музыка сама по себе, такая музыка подразумевает полёт, а тут просто набор элементов, хотя может это такое восприятие через призму сегодняшних прокатов наших девочек, всё таки ФК далеко шагнуло вперёд, сейчас это уже маленькие спектакли на льду.

@@Pauline-jm7zc Во-первых это вальс, а вальс не отвечает за содержание всей пьесы. Что же касается эпизода с вальсом в "Драме на охоте", то это был свадебный вальс жениха и невесты, а свадьба, как известно, радостное событие.

I've always disliked her attitude but I will say this short program should've been placed at least second but for that jerky double axel and incomplete footwork sequence it was a valid place seeing as though all the top ladies threw down.
