This covers the 1V/octave output mode, which is a new feature in firmware v5. Six VCOs are being controlled by the SMR, using the Spectral's built-in scales and tunings. This shows how the SMR can be used as an sequencer, arpeggiator, and chord machine using up to 6 VCOs, which adds 6 analog or digital voices to the system, tracked to the system.
Hold down ROTATE while you flip the Env switch to "Fast" to enable the Env Outs jacks to output 1V/octave CV on these jacks. Then patch the Env Out jacks into the 1V/OCT jack of your VCOs (up to 6 VCOs). Use each VCO's Frequency knob to tune it to the associated SMR channel. You can then run the VCOs into a mixer, or through effects etc if you like. All VCOs will track perfectly with your SMR!

I was already super happy with my SMR but this...this is just daring me to buy another. Why do you mock my wallet, 4MS?? Seriously, bang up job! This is an amazing feature addition to an already versatile module.

Do the Spherical Wavetable Navigator send also 6 cv pitches in the 6 lfo outs? Or this feature ir only in SMR? I was considering to get Stages only for the Harmonic Oscillator mode, but if both (SMR and SWN) do this, I prefer one of these and, correct me if I'm wrong, I can do something similar to the harmonic oscillator here with the 6 outputs.

My unit doesn't send 1V/oct, the intervals are smaller than full semitones, what could be the problem? I do have firmware v.5 and tried with both jumper settings in case my 5V wasn't reliable but I got the same problem...

Can you transpose the 1v/oct outs with the Freq input? Do the outputs also stay in key?

Wait.. this all made sense until you started driving the Rotate CV. 1. It's cool you got Phillip Glass into that tiny box, but how do you feed him? 2. Phillip is an old man now, is this considered humane? 3. How quickly can I get one into my studio?
