❤️ Love & prayers!!! Stay hydrated & cooled off. It is a worry with chickens when the heat is so extreme! God bless y'all! I hope the fan helps in your gals' egg production coop. We're so far getting a little reprieve from the heat for today, & we were relieved to get a little rain the last couple of days...ground is still dry, but the crops desperately needed it! Real Feel is about 85°F here as of right now. We left fans on the meat birds overnight & now have the big doors all open to make the building into breezeway for them, & we'll leave the fans on all day...just 3 box fans in there for now but may add a few more over the weekend. They want to be about 70°F - 75°F. Fortunately, the egg hens tolerate heat waves better than the meat birds, but it is hard on them, too.
