4x4 VW self sufficient motorhome with rear lounge

This 4x4 VW is designed to be completely off the grid for those seeking adventure. Self sufficiency is obtained through the use of solar panels plus LiFePO4 batteries although of course one will always be limited to the amount of water that can be carried. This vehicle is manufactured by Woelcke from near Stuttgart in Germany.

Ingenious! Love the shower. Great storage, and I love the fact that there's a door to the cab, which hides the overcab storage 👍. As a single traveller, I would keep the end sofa permanently made up as a cross bed, and still have the seats and table.....but of course I can't afford this 😞

Oh I never thought to put the toilet and shower at the front. What a brilliant idea. Now my new layout in my dream RV will have this in it.

nice rear window, great layout, very sensible shower, especially for expedition vehicle where higehr chance of getting muddy.

Alan, are you sure 3000 kg is the mass of the empty car? I think it is the maximum allowed weight since T6.1 has 3t maximum from the factory for this chassis. Not sure why, because T5 had 3,2t maximum. That's why Woelcke is using so thin walls (only 3 cm), they try to "gain" each kg.

I am only repeating what the manufacturer claims Silviu, I did not weigh it myself! However on reflection, it does seem a bit on the light side.

I don't generally go for these vw size vans as you know Alan but this one is rather good with a very good practical layout. The price however is rediculously expensive & prohibitive. I can't see many if any of these being sold? One would need a mortgage to obtain one!

Actually, Woelcke is very busy. They buid to order and the handling time these days is almost 4 years. I also think it is a high price, but I am glad because I am also building a Vw T5 4x4 for sale, like this Autark model, even better equipped.
