The youngest eaglet died on camera and the female is in a lot of distress. The adult male has not been seen, but the oldest of the eaglets seems to be okay for now. The female tried to get up, but she fell over and spread out her wings. We now know as of 7/8/16 that the eagles were indeed poisoned with Methomyl (It is a broad spectrum insecticide introduced in 1966 to kill a variety of insect pests, but it also kills mice, squirrels, small rabbits, and rats. It is registered for commercial/professional use on sites including fields, vegetables, and orchard crops; sod farms; livestock quarters; commercial premises; and refuse containers. It is toxic enough that products containing more than 1% Methomyl are not available for homeowner or non-professional application.) Watch this video and learn something • Raptor Blues
