While it may look complicated, this water pump replacement was actually really easy!

I have replaced the water pump in mine 4 times and have never had to remove any of that stuff. I pulled it right out the top.
@dtmtransportationllc87422 жыл бұрын
There is a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator that's super easy to drain without making a mess. You also installed the water pump upside down with the weep hole facing up.
@Cumminslife7 жыл бұрын
How come you removed all the rad/ac/ic/fan etc? seems really unnecessary.. I just pop the belt off underneath and get the 2 water pump bolts from up top, it takes 5 mins.

Holy crap batman, I did my 12-valve waterpump 130 miles from home on the side of the road with borrowed tools--the tensioner and belt take more time than actual pump on/off.

Great video! Although one issue. I would change the coolant in that truck. You aren't supposed to have green stuff in the Cummins motors. Zerex 05, I think it is, is what these motors call for with specs.

I could of change it in less that a hour for you. Buy your water pump an 2 gallong of coolant. My Labor cost for the job $160
@GMbowtie3504 жыл бұрын
Keet Keety So you work at $160 an hour cause I’m pretty sure labor time is an hour, maybe an hour and a half. $160 is high as hell for labor on that. Water pump on these are literally a 20 min job.

Apple Watch (even series '0') are pretty much completely water-proof. Even though the first generation wasn't officially certified waterproof, many thirdparty tests failed to kill it, even with a lot of water pressure. I still wouldn't recommend swimming with it, but quick shallow submersion or stuff splashing on it will never kill it.
@DanielJaegerFilms7 жыл бұрын
I actually went for a swim in the ocean with it and thought for sure the salt water would kill it but nope, survived the salt water just fine. I'm telling you, the thing is nearly indestructible lol

DanielJaegerFilms that why I love Cummins engine easy to fix much better than a Powerstoke or a Duramax in my opinion. And the the dislike on this video must have been from a Chevy guy lol.

What in the hell are you doing? You don't have to remove anything except the water pump! Take the tension off the belt off with a strap on the tensioner, remove two bolts on the pump, replace pump, put belt back on pump and remove strap. Done. Do not watch this video for how to do this water pump! It's a 10 minute job.
