Dude! The Keyper Plugin looks like what I've always wanted and needed. I've dealt with rotoscoping no more than 3 times myself for youtube projects, its so time consuming for me that i'd just rather skip it and find a workaround execution of my idea but now... I'll just get the plugin and forget about all of that! Great video!

Use it in trial mode to see if it works for you. It's best, as Rafael demonstrated, for separating the subject from the background to you can colour correct the background. It's not really a replacement for full rotoscoping to create an isolated subject you can use on another background. There's no fine tuning what it does. It has some adjustments, but it's really a case of it will work or it won't. It doesn't replace a green screen or proper rotoscoping tools.

I can't get Caption for FCP to work with any clip longer than a minute. I noticed Rafael is using an approx :35 clip in the video. Anyone have any luck using this app with longer clips?

How does Timebolt compare with Gling?

Both are great tools, Timebolt just does the Silence removal, There is a transcription feature but that is an add on price. What I like about Gling is that it anchors everything to the transcription and cuts out the bad/repetitive takes (and they are working on some pretty cool thing in the background. It all depends on what you need most right now - a year from now these features may be built in all NLE's Thanks for watching and the comment!

Great work! Easy to see why your channel is growing so quickly. Quick question about using Keyper. What settings did you use on your camera to pull such a nice key? I used the trial version and I get quite a bit of noise in the hairline. Not a crisp backdrop. I've got a Canon C100 Mark two with a solid background and good lighting Thanks in advance for your answer keep up the great work!

Voice Isolation is awesome. I have/had Izotope RX Elements 7 and it was a wizard at removing noise - not 100% perfect, but a lot faster than round-tripping Audacity (but, oh, how I miss Soundtrack). With a new Silicon Mac Studio, that was the end of the road for Izotope. I panicked, then I tried Voice Isolation. Problem solved.

I am the same! Was so sad when iZotope dropped native support for FCP. 😭 (more like izoDOPE!) But now I don't even bother with any of it, one good mic, and voice isolation, and I"m happy!! It's only going to get better moving forward! Thanks for watching and the comment MartinXY!

The main difference is Gling selectively tries to remove repetitive takes and similar wording within the speech. Both Timebolt and Gling can remove silences. Gling is still trying to figure out its pricing while TImebolt can be bought with a lifetime licence. Thanks for watching and the comment Marlon!

@7:03 Odd... I just bought Captions for FCPX and I don't have the option for sentences, just a slider for 'word count'... so, I can't edit the entire video's script in one go. I have to edit each word or sections of words up to 10 words. EDIT: This feature requires MacOS 13.
