Injustice Lex is probably my favourite version of Lex Luther, I find normal Lex pretty one note as character but injustice Lex especially in the comics has such a great conflict on what he should do to Superman because he is his friend and the line " your peace is a joke" is surprisingly powerful coming from someone who was Superman's friend

Edit: upon watching it, even though I was right, I was surprised that you didn't mention the ultimate fate of Darkseid and Lex. In JLA, one of the late producers of the show explained that Darkseid and Lex became part of the Source Wall, trapped. So they're not dead... But they aren't really alive either.

However, in my opinion, the absolute best death of Lex Luthor is how he meets his end, in the pages of The Black Ring - and The Joker knew what would happen and he let Lex find his own way to his doom, just because he thought it would be funny. Luthor even encountered Death Of The Endless, on his quest.
