I'll address all your questions here, including your other comment, so we can keep it simple :) 💪If you find your pup losing weight and muslce, try supplementing with L-glutamine. It can help preserve muscle mass, and is often given to dogs on chemo or battling cancer. For your dog, about 1 - 2 grams per day is fine. 🥓Appetite loss: Has he had a blood test recently? just want to make sure that he doesn't have any kidney issues going on. In general, make sure he is still getting walks and mental stimulation. This can help significantly with appetite. 🍲Greek yogurt is great as a snack, don't worry about the few carbs. Same with cheese, which is a perfect keto food because it has more fat calories than protein calories Keto diets mean: 🥩No carbs 🥩More Fat calories than protein calories We use a 70% fat to 30% protein ratio because it is easy, and not complicated to prepare at home. Now, for your dog his meals would look like this. Since you asked for cups, I'm guessing you are using pounds and ounces... *Daily* Option 1: If using GROUND BEEF or GROUND PORK: 🥩3.5 ounces of ground beef or pork (cooked) 🥥1 Teaspoon coconut oil 🥦Greens - give freely 🥘Broth (again, give freely, don't worry too much about the fat content) Option 2: Using whole cuts of red meat, like the 17% fat meat you mentioned 🥩3.5oz meat 🥥1 tablespoon Coconut Oil 🥦Greens - give freely 🥘Broth - freely In this option, you'll notice there is a lot more coconut oil. This is because the meat is more lean. 💪Don't worry about 'too much fat.' If your dog starts having loose stools, then you can cut back the fat a bit. Otherwise, the fat is a good thing! Basically, without getting too technical, we want to 'Starve' the cancer cells of glucose. This is why we eliminate carbs and keep protein fairly low. This is a diet your pup can follow forever. 💪My advice would be to cook the meat in a slow cooker or insta pot, make a few days or a week's worth of meals to help you save time. @LongLiveYourSeniorDog Thank you very much!! I will read and read your response, he is eating better right now much more with the homemade chicken bone broth!! And 1/2 teaspon of coconut oil with a lot veggies, red cabbage, broccoli. Spinach!! I have to chopped those vegetables very very tiny! He loves it. I got a supplement from Vital science and it's helping him!! In everything, check in internet, it has excellent reviews, is holistic, I will try in the morning with the syringe broth. With that prednisone, and the rest of supplement before going to work, he doesn't like to eat anything weird in his food. I get home around 8 pm.,so I can't do strictly the ketosis thing. Because I have to feed him in the morning around 6 am. !! Thank you very much for your help. What do you think about adding a little coconut oil in the morning and later in the evening?? Because even the broth has fat!! But now I understood if I get a meat high in fat, completely high fat I don't need to add anymore fat??? Correct

@LongLiveYourSeniorDog . He will at the vet this Wednesday!! I did chemo just first session, I didn't like the side effects, I was terrified!! The cancer went down 75% ,but I decided to not go under that, my dog is getting sunshine and walks and a lot love ❤️,
