Sure, both are great, depending on your pup's needs. I have a dog who regularly takes milk thistle to support his liver. Seems to be helping quite a bit 🐶

1) Respect for the westside barbell shirt! 2) We have done keto diets with a number of cancer dogs with pretty good results. One thing we have done to get the fats up a bit is "budwig", which is cottage cheese with flax oil (with Lingans). Makes a nice lunch for the pups and gets all the omegas plus more fats. Breakfast and dinner is usually ground meats and veggies, and add a mushroom extract pill (UPenn did a study on mushroom extracts being great against cancer). Wife runs a rescue so we are always trying to find easy ways to keep the keto right and nutrition complete while not breaking the bank and keeping the other dogs fed with similar foods (they basically get rice and meats/veggies and other supplements). Thanks! Always nice to meet a fellow Conjugate'r. So great to hear about your dogs' diets. Keto is powerful vs cancer, and I love the research on mushrooms. We've been using turkey tail and cordyceps for a while now. Which mushroom extract are you using?

CAS options is one we like to use, but since folks know my wife runs a rescue, we will get free bottles every so often, but almost all mushroom extracts will have turkey tail... And I'm actually more of a CrossFit boy, never got above 475 on my deadlift before old age and injuries started adding up. Sort of pissed I never got the quarter ton!!

Sure! In general, small fish have much less risk of mercury. Sardines, anchovies, etc are great choices🐕❤️

Peas are the third ingredient, meaning they make up a significant amount of this product. They're not for fiber. There are many ways of adding fiber. Peas are used as a cheap filler. They add bulk. They're charging people a lot of money for a bag of peas featuring chicken

Yes yes yes indeed the chest harness is too big on my dog too. After measuring him he is absolutely a medium, like in the center of the medium range, so absolutely no doubt, but I can’t make the chest harness any smaller than it is but It’s way too big. Now while being connected with the back harness it’s not a gigantic problem but with using the chest harness alone it is. But even when both are connected the measurements should be correct ofcourse.

Yeah, it's a shame because it works so well. I ended up using some tape to shorten the straps a bit, but for a harness at this price, needing to do this is absurd Will you continue with the chest harness it get another brand in the right size? 🐕❤️

Hi, we typically use Piping Rock because we can't get turkey tail mushrooms here, and piping rock ships to Europe. Love the quality, too Have also heard good things about "Real Mushrooms" brand. They do have some Amino acids added, so make sure that jives with your dog's needs. Not sure of they can shrink fatty lumps in all cases. However, mushrooms have a positive effect on the immune system, which can then have the extra power to target those lumps for destruction. Would definitely take some time Also, considering the effect that some mushroom supplements can have on cancer, and tumors, it's definitely worth a try Make sure to have any and all lumps checked out by your vet, too 🐕❤️

Most grocery stores have it near the milk and yogurt. You can make it at home, too. But yeah, look near the milk. No need to go to a health food store. You can give them a few tablespoons a day, or as much as a half a cup. It's a great food

Hi, I'm not familiar with the brand. For probiotics we use kefir and yogurt. Kefir and has a few billion probiotics, it's tough to beat that! For probiotics, vegetables and chia seeds. Doesn't need to be a supplement. The only time we use an actual supplement is when a dog needs to take antibiotics, then we use a liquid in their water. It's called Enterogermina. Not sure if they have that in the USA

Hill’s is heinous…. Feb 2024 made 2 dogs sick….. (hemorrhagic gastroenteritis). Hill’s NEVER responded. 3 weeks later they sent me two $10 off coupons . Garbage company.

Hi, I am feeding my 3 yr old English Bulldog the Raw Frozen Whitefish Patties along with the Turkey and Turdunken Raw Freeze-Dried nuggets. I have been adding fish oil to my dog’s diet right until I switched to the Whitefish formula. Would you recommend I still add the cod oil?

Hi, sure, you can still use fish oil, just cut the dosage back to either (about) half dose per day... You could alternate days with the oil, if you'd like How does your pup like the turduken? 🤩

@@HelpYourDogLiveLonger I can honestly say it is his favorite flavor so far. I just give him the Turdunken as a mid afternoon appetizer since I believe he may be allergic to chicken. I haven’t fed him a food with chicken since he was a puppy and was on Orijen. If a dog is actually allergic to chicken, how quickly would I be able to tell if he really is allergic?

You'll likely see skin issues pretty quickly. Itchy, hot spots, etc. Bad breath, too. But, your vet can test for this if you're unsure :)

We have a video with a 'wild broth' recipe + benefits kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y62AgL1p0cuukY0.html Rabbit, duck, etc. are great for broth because they'll give your dog a different amino acid profile from the food they're currently eating. Garlic is 'toxic' when eaten in an excessive amount. So, if your dog sneaks in the garden and eats several bulbs, they'll get sick. However, the garlic in broth is fine. Many holistic vets use garlic cloves, or garlic oil, for a variety of non-pharma cures. Let me know if you have any other questions, please :)

Hi, I think it comes down to trusting your source of meat. For example, I may trust raw ground beef from our butcher (he grinds it on-demand), but I'd never trust any raw ground from the supermarket... even the fancy, over-priced super market. A lot of raw food advocates will grind chicken at home, bones included. In this case, you are in control of the variables. Overall, salmonella isn't a huge risk, but I'd worry about e.coli with meat from a non-trusted source. We cook ground meats, and use raw eggs, organ meat, etc. however, I have had beagles (thieves!) steal ground pork off the counter, and had no problem other than them eating too much. What are you currently doing for your pups?
