It's my understanding that the layered look traps in cool air in hot and *dry* climates, which makes it a good choice in those places. On the other hand, the layers trap in excess moisture in hot and *humid* climates, making it a less ideal choice where I live.

With Polenesian blood, a wider back, and rolling shoulders...I've always preferred a v-neck tshirt to crew (the crew usually rolls under) for comfort and it actually looks closer to a crew on me. The low cut v-necks (2"4" below clavicle line) on a man is usually a no-go, IMO, and women I've heard talk about it agree...do you? Thanks.

I only use long sleeve Linen shirts in the summer,better to roll up the sleeves. Luca Faloni,Barba Napoli,Eton,Ralph Lauren.

I love Lacoste polo shirts and have around 10 of them. The videos says stay away from logo'ed shirts but I still buy these. the croc seems tasteful enough to get by. Am I wrong?

Ashley - are polos with small logos (eg) the RL pony a bad idea? I like RL for the fit but would like your guidance on it having a logo.

If it's small and unobtrusive, it's fine. I like RL polos in part because the logo is a bit more artistic than just some boring letters. Try to go for lower-contrast logos (e.g., dark blue logo on a light blue polo shirt, rather than a bright yellow logo on a blue shirt or a red logo on a green shirt).

A short sleeved shirt occupies that tricky area between a regular shirt and a T-shirt. It's a bit like long sleeved polo. Not the most stylish option in my opinion.

Folks, not every suit can be worn with Hawaiian shirts. It will look plastic trust me, even if the suit is in bright color. Only Italian suits in linen works with them.
