Unfortunately I see a downturn. Too many products, players signing too many cards, too many numbered cards, too many 1/1s. Retail is dead already, base died in 2021 already, that's the beginning.

Agree with the celebrity card market. I collect James Bond cards along with baseball and it's awesome how the market has grown. It's a nice balance with the autograph market being the foundation of prices and then the rarity of cards helps too!

Nice predictions. My prediction is that high value cards, particularly Curry, will increase drastically from where it is and drive the market up from where it is. Also, finally posted a video. It's not about cards but will def talk about cards as well as how my Curry collection (that I spent about $15k on) has surpassed $1M in value. Lots of videos coming in 2022 and would love to do a collab with u at some point!

I see some stability in the hobby. Not the market fluctuations we have become accustomed too. I also think there will be growth, albeit moderate. You can’t have the amount of money being invested in the hobby by companies such as Fanatics, PWCC, PSA and the like without some reciprocal growth, IMO.

I think Patrick Mahomes cards will rather explode (if he wins another SB in a few weeks) or they’ll be 40-50% less across the board. Also, retail flipping is all but done.

I feel like lots of startups are trying to solve problems that don't exist.

I feel like all those predictions you named are possible. There’s going to be a big demand for digital sports cards in the near future. That’s my Bold prediction. A /3 auto Mac Jones digital card just sold for over $100 . Some for thousands. This is going to be the crypto version on sports cards. You can collect them and show them off with a touch of a button instead of keeping them in storage or in danger of getting damaged. It’s going to be the next big thing for sports cards just like cryptocurrency

Nice predictions, I also think that there is a lot more potential to expand geographically and outside of sports. Something that is underexploited in my opinion is memorabilia cards. With more memorabilia-centric non-sports cards, influencers, artists, movie stars it could bring new blood of collectors to the global market of card collection. What I'm a bit confused about is the digital shift of card collection... NFT last year exploded with nice ideas but when the dust will come down... I'm having a problem collecting none physical cards. :)

My bold prediction: Somebody big in stature gets hit with a scandal (whether it be a PSA/BGS/SGC company or Probstein/Goldin/PWCC type auction house) that makes national headlines. Could be the findings of the FBI probing into trimmed cards, a very high sports card sale that ends up being fake not unlike the infamous Gretzky card purchase of the past, etc. We've seen some stuff come out that was "big" in the hobby community such as PWCC/eBay splitting, the WATA/Karl Jobst stuff, and now this Logan Paul $3.5 Million Pokemon purchase where the contents may not be the real deal. I think there is going to be a very big sports card-related story coming.

Great predictions! I think low serial numbered cards will definitely be in high demand and the prices on them will skyrocket. There’s a lot of great value out there and I would start scooping up anything that is numbered to 500 or less. It doesn’t have to be megasuperstars, it could be any player that made an impact on the game

Nice vid, hope for the overseas move. Today it is very cumbersome to buy, grade or sale. We do it because we love the hobby but any further help will increase even more our hobby love and surely will attract more people. In Europe the Bobby has grown very rapidly for the las 3 years but still huge room to grow.

Joe Burrow's cards will be the hottest and most sought after at the next national, leading into the new NFL season. Probably should have been and should be buying his cards now!

I’m not quite understanding your prediction with Topps and Fanatics. Topps has a contract to produce major league licensed products. These leagues can’t end their contract early with Topps for any reason other than dereliction and even that would take years to litigate. Topps isn’t going to sabotage their reputation to demean the hobby that’s kept them relative for 70 years. I image they’re going to have a good farewell product line to make the market regret the decision to walk away from their success.

I predict more people will gamble on unproven prospects than proven HOFERS yet again. I get trying to buy in low but I'll take proven players all the time. The card market bottom I predict isn't coming also till 2023 when the interest rates likely rise. I know I've already cut back massively and unless I find a vintage bargain, I'll be likely passing on everything. HOFERS should never sell for less than guys like Lamelo. Period

Hopefully not another video of poor “investments” and hating on the HOBBY due to coming in and spending hard on the overprinted junk slab era hoping to get rich..
