No misunderstanding or ignorance (except maybe ZZH's case which I always feel there was something more than meets the eye). The tax evasion cases, the Chinese authorities always give notices and warnings before hand urging them to pay up and resolve the matter. They are only charged after they repeatedly failed to respond. I think they can restart their acting career one day after some time has passed. The sex scandals ones really have no hope anymore. Same like Kris Wu. Chen Shuang also has no hope as nobody would accept her anymore after what she has done to those babies.

Deng Lun made a mistake. He did nor purposely not report his wages, unlike others that had been doing it for years. Some higher up was so jealous that they had the media blow it out of proportion. Throughout his career, the media was always critiquing him. The couldn’t stand how a young man could have such great success as an actor singer and entrepreneur. They were jealous and unprofessional Deng Lun is unparalleled and they couldn’t stand it

No point in banning actors with tax problems. Get them an accountant to help them resolve their tax issues. Not everyone gifted in monetary calculations. No work = Lack of/reduced income to pay back outstanding tax and fines. However sounds more like someone in the industry just wants them out. Maybe. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏽

Emm no? Tax evasion is not because they can't afford to pay due to poor money management. Its quite the opposite. Chinese gov puts a limit on how much an actor can earn per movie/drama etc due to public outcry on their huuge salaries. Meaning now the actors get less than what they could have gotten. So them film industry people did what is called yin-yang contract, in which they hide real salary of the actor and submitted a much lower income report to tax authorities. Signed a contract for 10 mil, when actually they get 25 mil in total (15 mil secretly behind contract). The extra 15 mil is not reported, hence not taxed, hence "tax evasion". Fan bing bing got caught and this yin yang contract blew up. The gov started investigating more and blacklisted anyone tht got caught. Denglun is one of them. Fan bing bing easily paid the fine (was a whooping 800 mil yuan or something). So they totally can afford to pay, they just didn't cause they didn't report their earnings properly and paying more would make it sus. Denglun paid already, its just that chinese gov too strict with the bans to let him get back on screen, which is a shame.

I'm not really his fans, but I'm amazed at his strength and persistence. To come back as an actor i think will not happen in this near time, but hey, he made a come back as a singer, held concert overseas few months ago, and will make his debut as director (i think for some kind of travelogue) in August. Just wait for it...

Almost three years have passed since he filed a lawsuit against CAPA, but there are still no results, I suspect that there was no investigation. Unless the court officially declare that he is innocent, it is unlikely that his reputation will be restored

All i can say im so down that Yuan Bingyan no longer acting but despite of that im hoping and praying for her success even of some problems of her personal life, someday time will come she will giving a chance to be back again to act with other actors and paired again with Cheng Yi (Love and Redemption season 2)..Always support forever my prayers and love no matter what. Yuan Bingyan actually already filmed four dramas and I feel bad for the actors/actresses who are in those films unless the authority forgive her tax evasion crime, we won't ever see those films. Good news of Zhang Zhe Han: he is singing his heart out! Had a fantastic concert in Hong Kong in Feb 2024 and now planning Australia in July. Has english chanel on YT and relrasing albums singles and poetry. BTW his mom is doing great and the slogan "Don't fantasize- there is no contact" has sealed umfortunate betrayal by GJ. Go Haizhe!

It seems that all these actors are the victims of their management. Management (profiteers) are the ones who should be punished. Plus, actors shouldn't be punished for visiting family and friend's events. These actors should come back experienced to handle management with a strong head, heart, and hand.

Deng Lun is one of my favorite actors, so when this scandal broke, I almost cried. My heart broke for him. I really hope he makes a comeback since he is one of the best out there. As for Zhang Zhan, being an American, I do not comprehend how anyone can be banned from their industry for posing in front of another country's landmarks. That's just crazy to me. 'nuff said. I have to make one a statement about these actors who are busted for tax evasion. I truly believe that they are falling into older colleagues' traps. With all the money they suddenly have is one thing to get the temptation to become addicting. But when older folks surround them in this new-found life, these kids are easily swayed. And who pays for it? The actors, while the older ones run away with the money they absconded from the actor.

I’m wondering if all these actors were even remotely aware that they had done tax evasion? I’m just wondering how they would be able to evade taxes at all and my assumption is they probably hired people to take care of their business. And they only probably found out about their taxes was because the situation wasn’t felt with . But this is of course my guess. I wish everyone the best of luck and I hope they will continue their endeavors to succeed.

ZZH was the reason i first watched Chinese drama. I saw the trailer of word of honor and i got intrigued by him so i watched the drama. Starting from that, i switched to Cdrama from Kdrama.

Chinese netizens are crazy and cruel. Their crimes are not even a speck from other actors and actresses in other countries or hollywood. They are good actors and making a lot of us entertained. Chinese govt is just so strict, its not like they killed someone or did something horrible. Why ban them if they paid their fine etc.. i hope denglun and li yifemg be given a chance for international acting instead.

Zhang zhe han and Deng lun are both one of my favorite chinese actors. So sad that I probably won't see them in any dramas soon 😞 I think what Zhang got accused for is rubbish.
