I made my own egglife wraps awhile back. These may work for egg fast, only im not sure if xanthan gum is ok. Here's the recipe that worked well for me. 1 cup liquid egg whites, 1 TBSP egg white powder, 1/2 tsp xanthan gum, 1/2 TBSP nutritional yeast (could leave this out for egg fast) 1/4 cup water. I blended the egg whites, xanthan and Nutritional yeast in my magic bullet until frothy, then add egg white powder and water and blend again just 30 sec or so. I poured into a non stick skillet spray with oil, spread thin with offset spatula to 6 in circle and cook on low then cook only about 1 or 2 min release around edges until you can work spatula to center and flip cook just 1 min more. These held up real nice to make wraps or tortilla. I stored in fridge with parchment circle between layers.

Perfect timing, Anita. I love egg fasts and although I find it hard to lose weight, it is a guaranteed 3 lb. for me. Have all the ingredients for the lemon bars so will be making them today. You have the most comprehensive egg fast plan I have ever seen.

I'm looking for a way to modify this with less fat and to do it alternate days for a month or so to see if it gets me out of a stall for that very reason. Gaining 3 lbs would not be great, lol. This would be good for metabolically though, to reduce insulin resistance I would think. Sometimes the high protein ends up converting to too much carbohydrate..

@@dreamingrightnow1174 Oh I believe she meant she loses at least 3 lbs on the egg fast. I normally lose 5 in the 5 days. It is very good metabolically with it being about 85% fat and 10% protein.

This is perfect. I’m doing egg fast this week and then carnivore with fasting the rest of the month Can’t wait to see you make the sheet pizza into egg wraps. I buy the ridiculously expensive Egg Life wraps and would love a less expensive option that I could customize based on what my taste buds are craving. Always love you videos and can’t wait to see what the new kitchen in the new house will look like when you find it

Made your lemon bars and I added one tsp of cream tartar to the egg whites and whipped to stiff peaks. Then all other ingredients I added to the egg yolks and stirred till well blended. Once I had stiff peaks I gently folded in the egg yolk mixture with a spoon and they stayed light and fluffy. The taste is amazing. ❤️Thanks for the recipe. It my dessert on the egg fast. Can't wait for egg fast recipes

Anita, I'm so glad you shared about the DASH appliance. I had a different brand that I hated to use because of poking the egg.....it had the sane effect on me as hearing nails in a chalkboard! So I immediately ordered the DASH and now I'll save $$$ from not having to buy boiled eggs from Costco!! Looking forward to egg fasting with you this week!

I'm still curious about the egg fast, but your recipes look delicious!! Have you thought of incorporating the power flour into any of them? I bet it would be good in the lemon bars!! 😋😋😋

Great idea for keto but complicated for the egg fast! The egg fast is 1 whole egg to 1 tbsp fat ratio so adding in the power flour would be very hard to figure out how many egg whites are used and then from there how many yolks to use somewhere else in the day.

I just realized after decades of buying store mayo that THE PUT SUGAR IN IT! Now I have a giant Costco jug of it to get through before I can make the switch to homemade or keto mayo...

Yes, you could use another fat like softened butter or coconut oil. In the original recipe I used cream cheese but subbed with the mayo to cut back on cheese, so if you are ok with cream cheese that works too!

do the lemon packets tell how much is in each, like 1/8 or 1/16 teaspoon? I get the True Lemon and True Lime in little canisters, like spices come in. I'd like to know how to convert it.

Oh I would love to order it like that instead of the packets! The packets say how many grams each on them but not tsp. Mine are packed away in a box because I'm moving but try to google True Lemon packet, and click on images. You might get a closeup of the box or package that way!

I started my egg fast today. I have everything for lemon bars except egg powder. There is only dry egg substitute that is plant base. Can this recipe be made with real eggs.

Happy 2022! 1. I am very confused. Is egg white powder the same as egg white protein powder? 2. For ur lemon bars, I only have egg yolk powder (for indigo nili bread) can I use that instead of whole egg powder? And why use the whole egg powder instead of eggs? Thanks Anita

ok, I'll try and answer! 1. Egg white powder is the same as egg white protein powder, the terms are interchangeable. 2. I have not tried egg yolk powder in this because mine has not arrived so I cannot answer that yet plus if you are doing the Egg Fast, it is easier to use whole eggs to manage the ratios of 1 egg to 1 tbsp fat. 3. My original recipe uses whole eggs, you can use that link in the notes below to try that out! The reason that tried out the powder is because I bought it by accident instead of egg yolk powder and I wanted to find a way to use it up! I am glad that I tried because it provides a completely different texture to the lemon bars. And I like that!

Yes! I'm just trying to use up the powder that I bought by mistake! I did like the different texture it gave but the original recipes are great too and they are linked below in the video notes.

Could I swap sour cream for the mayo? I hate mayo

First I'll say that you cannot taste the mayo. If you are just doing Keto and not the egg fast, then yes, the sour cream would work. If you are wanting to stick to the egg fast ratios of 1 fat to 1 egg, then use softened butter instead of the mayo.

Thank you Anita. What is the measurements on the lemon packets, I can’t get packets only lemon juice in the bottle? The lemon bars and pizza looks delicious.

Each packet is 0.8 grams of lemon crystals. The box says that 1 packet equals 1 lemon wedge, not sure how helpful that is! Lemon extract might be a good option?

I've done the egg fast and really enjoy it. There are so many things you can make that I never get tired of what I'm eating. I'm going to start one shortly again and plan to incorporate your lemon bars in it. Can I use lemon juice or extract instead of the crystals? I'm not sure where to buy them.

I do prefer the lemon crystals (Amazon or walmart or most grocery stores have them!) but many people use the extract and I would guess 1 tbsp should do it!

I saw them yesterday at Walmart, but actually got a slightly better deal on Ama buying a bigger box. Don't know if that's still possible though. Everytime a YTer uses a product in an upload, the price seems to go up overnight.

The box of true lemon packets says that 1 packet is equal to one lemon wedge. So hopefully that helps, I've never made this with an actual lemon before so not sure what exactly a lemon wedge would be!

Yes! I've shared my recipe links in the video notes and on my egg fast playlist I have made egg fast pizza muffins before, pretty much the same recipe and no egg powder. I bought it by mistake and am trying to use it up!

Hi Anita , I’m doing the beef , butter , bacon and egg fast since it gives me more variety but I wanted to know if egg life wraps are considered ok since they are egg whites? Thanks 😊

For sure they are ok on the BBBE. If you use them on the Egg Fast then a yolk needs to be accounted for somewhere else in the day. So yes to both egg fast and BBBE with that one caveat.

Hi Anita. Couple of questions. How is keto Mayo different than avocado Mayo? Both by Chosen. And the little spatula you have, is there a specific name for it? I have to try the lemon bars. I’ll have to watch your egg fast videos as I don’t quite know much about it. 😘

I think it's just the oil that is different in the mayo, the 'Keto' mayo uses MCT oil while the other uses avocado oil. Any mayo will work in this recipe. Did you mean the little metal spatula? I call it my cookie spatula, not sure if that's what it is!
