We spend 5 days travelling from Brisbane to Adelaide on the Darling River Run. We visit Charlotte Plains in Cunnamulla, Port of Bourke Hotel, Louth, Trilby Station and FREE Camp on the shores of Lake Pamamaroo in Menindee.

I’m so glad I come across your channel we have been wanting to do the Darling River run for so long. I also own an fj cruiser. we are currently purchasing a off-road caravan and this is on our bucket list. Thanks for sharing. My family used to travel long distances by car and loved it, we’ve done the Nullarbor twice and QLD from Broken Hill to Maleny in 19 hrs

Wow! Thats some long haul stuff. We were the same as kids. Drove from Adelaide to Wollongong at least once a year. 14-15hrs non stop.

Did you fix the fence with wire strainers after you cut it? As farmers ourselves I’d be so pissed if my fence was vandalised. Sheep can get out and onto the road and BOOM one Moore family has crashed into a mob of sheep Let the farmer know if there’s livestock caught up or get the goat and twist its horns through

Carp are edible if you fillet them salt them, wipe them, oil them with olive oil, then smoke them. Carp kippers so to speak. But why bother when a tin of tuna in a Jiffy pie works a treat.

It's good to see a channel with an FJ. We tow a Jayco eagle outback with ours. What was your fuel usage like?

Not terrible. About 17-18L per hundred on 98. We have a roof box on top and the the car is on 34inch muddies, fridge inside, steel bar, 2nd battery, stainless full underbody bash plates so she’s on GVM.

It’s hard to believe really. We were probably a month or two after the bigger flow. As for full banks - it’s hard to imagine
