As someone who's seen this movie probably a hundred times, these deleted scenes are like finding additional Bible verses

I guarantee there’s some you haven’t read that you wouldn’t believe! Did you know the Bible is actually AGAINST Christmas trees? You can stone unruly children and run homos through with a spear! Not in the way the like… You can sell a child aged daughter to an adult as a “bride”. God actually said the 10 Commandments are to be ignored “for you have already broken them” after the “golden calf” incident and wrote another 10 that were to be obeyed. Which said “you shall not boil a baby goat alive in its mothers milk”. You can buy slaves “from the heathen who sojourn among you” and beat them as long as they don’t die… That day. If they die the next morning “they shall not be punished for the slave is property/money” Even Jesus said “I have not come to bring but a sword” and that he has come to divide families. “If you’re not willing to hate even your mother and father you will not enter my kingdom”. And of course “Bring my enemies, those who would not have me to reign over them, and slay them before me”.

Not to mention how it still holds up very well; I think it’s about time we see more of the deleted scenes from the test screenings. There’s already leaked videos of animation tests and cut scenes on here, but why don’t they put those on the DVD and Blu-rays?

It's bad that they cut the third scene, it explains how Homer went from Alaska to the United States, in the film this makes no sense, it suggests that he walked

And it will at least explain how Homer got back to Springfield after being left to die in the Canadian wilderness by the Huskies anhow he was able to cross the Canadian boarder As that would have been the only way he would have been able to get back to America from Alaska was to cross country through Canada

The "Homer ate all the sausages" joke was so obvious I was hoping they'd do something to subvert it. Like have him see Homer didn't touch them, breath a sigh of relief, then get nailed by a truck going back to the cab.

Or he stretches his little song as he goes to the back of the truck for an uncomfortably long time, so much so that the scene cuts back to Homer, and we never see the driver’s reaction to the sausages.

I have the DVD and it's on it. I was confused why people were saying this was a deleted scene because it's in every version of the film I've ever seen, on both tv and streaming. Wasn't sure if there was something more to that bit that I'm missing.

The scene that's actually in the film is Moe introducing himself as emperor, Barney tosses a molotov cocktail at Moe, Moe catching it and throwing it back, and that's the end of that scene as Russ Cargill announces they're lowering a bomb inside of the dome to blow up Springfield.

Very nice that this was shared so thank you To think back in 2007, The Simpsons Movie was the film of the year and a massive Blockbuster (like Avengers Endgame) but these days it feels a bit forgotten

Seriously, even though I still love and watch it to this day with my family, it feels super underrated. It's arguably the best the Simpsons has been since the Golden Age, due to the polished writing and humor.

@@stormdoesgaming8919 I agree. There have been some really good or even great "modern" Simpsons episodes, like "Brick Like Me" (aka the Lego episode). And last Halloween's "Treehouse of Horror" had one of its best segments in some time ("E8ight", which showed what happened if Sideshow Bob succeeded in killing Bart in "Cape Feare"). I will always have a soft spot for the golden age though.

If i remember correctly, after the movie was released like a few years later they will show this movie on thanksgiving day on fox and they would include all the deleted scenes in the showing of the film as well

Fun fact there was a deleted seen the Mob scene where the Obscure Simpsons characters cameo instead of it being revealed they were going to the wrong house at the end Sideshow Bob would have appeared saying kill Bart kill Bart until Lenny says we're going after Homer and he leaves And in the post credits Kang and kodos would have made an appearance making fun of the movie apparently there's got cut due to bad test screenings not gonna lie wish both scenes were kept

Some of these scenes shouldn't have been cut because it wouldn't made the movie flow so much better. We never saw how the town ended up all trashed we only saw the aftermath and we never learnt how homer made it from Alaska to Springfield so quickly.

They could’ve at least kept the scenes that were fully animated. If you delete a scene that’s already finished and ready to go, you’re just wasting a lot of money. And another thing: why haven’t they released the director’s cut already? It’s been 16 years! When fans demanded that Warner Bros. release the Snyder Cut of Justice League, they released it like immediately!
