I love big cat hunting. Roanoke valley is the best spot; full of cougars. Best hunting spot if you’re looking for materials to give to Cripps, ‘cause there’s lots of deer and buck too.

That cabin with the dead children is one of the saddest & most disturbing parts of the game. ☹️ I really wish Rockstar left in the mission where you can save them!

I wonder if the reasoning behind deleting it was that Rockstar realised that the possibility of them starving was too cruel even for that game, so they got rid of that quest, but not so much and they've made it even worse, by forcing these kids to starve. Or it was that if player chose to not help them, the outcome of player's decision would be too cruel to bear. I think it's the second one. Rockstar killed them, so we wouldn't have possibility to do it. That's twisted

Instead of milking GTA V Online and RDR2 Online Rockstar should be trying to restore EVERYTHING that was cut from single player. Dan Houser said the game would have gone on for another 5 hours had that stuff not been cut and there’s nothing stopping them from restoring it now that the game is out.

@@zygas25 The model was too glitchy so they cut it to focus on other things more important. Now that the game is released they have all the time in the world and they should use that time restore it. It's not that R* can't do this, they just won't and focus on a watered down version of the game and another thats been milked to death.

R* is remastering Gta v again for the new gen consoles and adding new content. R* is just turning into a shitty money grabbing company like Disney. Yes every company wants to make money but some do it with compassion for their consumers. RDR deserves a remaster, RDR2 story deserves dlc or something but no gta v is still not good enough and it needs to be perfected.

Why would they. They don’t give a fuck about the RDR community anymore, they just want more money from gta v. Why tf do we need another gta v remaster with new content. GTA v wasn’t even that fun, Trevor really saved the story. After blowing shit up and driving around it just got old. At least make a San Andreas remaster but no R* is turning into a money grabbing company who doesn’t care about their consumers anymore.

@@dylh2967 I’m glad Rocksteady isn’t like this cuz those Arkham games were my childhood. I’m glad they are finally making a game that is something other than Batman but knowing humans Rocksteady will soon fall into this phase. From this point on I really do not care what R* does because we have both RDR & RDR2. Rdr2 online is enjoyable but man it’s begging for a hero to save its ass.

Guarma was supposed to be an exploitable island, with trinkets to find and probably more cigaret cards. And Guarma was supposed to be part of the main map, there would be a small river leading to it south the the lennahachee river. And it was called Guama, not Guarma.

Imagine you go to the starving children as Arthur giving them food and supplies to carry on but visit them later on as John and they are grown teens established in their life. That would have been a beautiful side quest edit: you guys keep smashing it! TYSM BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!

I remember stumbling upon the cabin with the kids and being heartbroken for them. Having the ability to help them would've been really nice, especially if you could see them older in the epilogue. Finding Gavin would also be a nice addition, given how frequently I came across his friend looking for him all over the map.

I am almost certain that the reason Rockstar deleted the starving children mission is because they kept coming into a bug where both the children plus Arthur/John couldn't all fit on the same horse

It probably could’ve worked if they were different sizes. Jack when aged five fits in front of Arthur on the saddle and anyone taller sits behind the saddle.

Here’s what I think: They didn’t add the mission saving those children so the game would be more creppy and mysterious because it’s pretty creppy to see kids who have died of starvation cuz they’re mom left. Sharks isn’t a thing because I think they thought that it’s too much work because after you kill it you gotta pull it out of the water and since you can’t travel to guarma without glitching the game so not many people got to explore guarma and probably wouldn’t even know that sharks is a thing in rdr2. The reason why you cant travel to guarma I think is because they didnt have enough time cuz if you were able to get there later in the game there would must be more things and the island would have to be bigger. They didnt put bobcats probably because there’s already cougars that are sometimes just so anoying when they just dont leave you alone though I think it would’ve been a good idea to put more animals. And why we didn’t get to meet or get to know who is Gavin (though I think you already uncovered the truth about gavin and his friend in a video you’ve done earlier) is because it was supposed to be the biggest mystery in the game like mount chiliad in gta 5 (My english isn’t perfect so at some point it can be harder to understand what am trying to say, but these theories are probably wrong, but this is what I just thought about now)

Technicly it wouldn’t be a pelt, since a pelt indicates that there’s fur. It would most probably be called a skin, but it’s a cool idea.

To be honest, I love rockstar games so much I'd gladly have waited another 6 months for literally all cut content to be integrated in. I dunno if you are a Dev, but I recently got into game design and I appreciate the shit out of details the creators put in as well as the diligence you put in finding those secrets along the way. As always this was a great video.

I like that certain things were cut. It leaves mystery to things and lets you leave it up to your imagination to interpret. You come along a house or shack and see something and you just go "????wtf????why is this here? What happened? Well, there's a note. Hmm? Let me search around and try to figure this out." I like that feeling I suppose. It's like the movie Se7en***SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT***. You don't see the actual murders being committed until the last 1. You just see the aftermath of what happened and you're left only to imagine the horror that took place. Looking at it now I like how they left the 2 kids there. It's eerie, creepy, and disturbing. How much fun would you have shooting sharks with a rifle? There are a ton of animals in the game. We don't need a bobcat. How much different would it be from a cougar really? It would be cool to go back to Guarma. I think they just felt that it was just a portion for the story as opposed to a place you could just keep revisiting. What would you do there anyways aside from taking in the scenery? Things from games always get cut. Horizon Zero Dawn had a whole section from the map cut with a huge quest that never took place. God of War 2 had an entire underwater level scrapped along with a massive boss fight. The Last of Us had entire sections taken out of the game. Things are always getting cut due to time constraints, budget, pacing issues, etc.

@miloandot Although you have a very good point what if those small encounters were to inflict upon the story in some way and you did make a good point with the bobcat hell if they wanted to do anything make it a legendary animal or something but like strange man did another video stating about the lock ness monster don’t get me wrong wth would you do with the thing but I just think it would have been a cool mission or like a cool interaction but like the legendary channel catfish idk about anyone else but I find fishing in the game extremely fun just because it gives you that small bit of excitement each bite you get thinking how big is this fish and with the gurma thing if they do anything with gurma I just hope it’s a heist in online like cayo perico and they just expand the map a bit for gurma and as you also said what would you even do there now Ik it might sound stupid but what if there was like a murderer over there and think what if you were able to stop him and like feed him to a shark or something like that sounds stupid but honestly I think they can do a lot with gurma and instead kept away from it but also what if there was a DLC for the story that gave you an alternate ending what would have happened if the saint denis job went to plan where would arther have gone? Would Dutch hunt him down ? And so on so fourth but like same with blackwater ferrie job why didn’t they give us that as the first mission leading up to them going to the snow then across the states leading to their fate as a gang

There was a cut prologue in the game, that’s probably why the script is still in the game because rockstar forgot to cut it

it doesn’t really make sense though, Jack is a child and there are children in Saint Denis. npc children walking around in free roam would be a different story, but they’re able to get away with having children in missions because they can immediately fail you if you try to use weapons or perform violent acts, with the reason simply being “[child] was spooked”. as long as interacting with the children required you to enter a mission that forbade you from using weapons, there would be no problem.

@@samanthaoboyle2316 depends if it was a random encounter type mission like the Valentine prostitute or like Aberdeen pig farm were its impossible to fail these missions even if you kill the npc. but if it was more scripted like main story missions then it could work.

The one with the kids could have been a great opportunity for character development from Arthur and John. It would show you how the two characters are with kids (considering the only children you ever come into contact with are Jack and the street urchins). I would have also liked to see how Sheriff Malloy would react to the children when you bring them in.

The fact that the Guarma ticket and the Bobcat are in the files confirms the Dev leak on reddit. He stated that RDR2 was gonna have multiple protagonists like GTA5 and you were gonna play as Arthur, Dutch and Hosea. If you had good honor, you would not only play as John but also Sadie and Charles; If you had bad honor, you would play as Dutch, Bill and Javier.

Learning that they cut the option to travel to Guarma in free roam pissed me off. They cut SO MUCH shit from this game that it's actually unbelievable. I know they couldn't keep everything in because of storage & memory limits, but still! Why did you have to remove something that would've kept players playing for years? The only reason I could think of is because TakeTwo made them do it so ppl wouldn't want to play story mode anymore and get on Online mode so they can milk more cash.

They removed the Guarma travel for 2 reasons: 1. Guarma was very different in the beta. You could actually free roam and it would be way bigger. They changed it because of time. 2. It doesn't make any sense for Arthur or John to return there. Also they don't just sell tickets to Guarma otherwise the gang could have easily took a boat back to SD. Therefore making the stranded section of the game pointless.

New Austin and Mexico were never meant to be in the game. New Austin was added into the game in 2017, a whole year before the game even came out. Rockstar had plans to add Mexico and make the entire island of Guarma exploitable, but time caught up and they couldn’t make another delay or else fans would’ve been upset. And I don’t think they were gonna add Mexico, if you look through all the beta maps of rdr2, Mexico never had any bridges or buildings. And the river was thicker, which meant that players couldn’t get to the other side and they would drown.

@@RolandBon the studio was going through a lot. They had a confusing time making this game. What I think is that they just ran out of time. They made plans for it but those plans didn’t make it in the game, so of course there would be audio files. There will always be something left behind.

I think in the case of the starving children, Rockstar's decision was maybe the right one. If they'd left the mission intact it would have been a forgettable delivery mission to take up maybe 10 mins of your time. Finding the dead children and searching around for clues as to what happened would have a much stronger emotional impact on the player.

The sharks compendium definition is maybe not that. Maybe we can return at Guarma like you said, but there, we could find a random guy who ask you if you want to hunt sharks with him. And maybe, we go on ocean a little bit far of the shore with him on a tiny boat, then this guy could be eaten by a shark. After that, we should return at coast.

Strange Man, you are amazing.. You help us realize how incredibly immersive and detailed this game truly is (even with some things removed). Rockstar is the king of details in games... nobody can even come close. This game deserves more awards and recognition than it ever received. To anyone watching, if you haven't played this game it is a MUST PLAY, 10/10... I think I'm going to play it all over again (for like the 4th time lol).

It has always bugged me that we are never allowed to return to Guarma in-game (without the use of boundary breaks that is). Especially from the standpoint of completionists who may want to attain all of the animals in Guarma but could not do so during the very brief time spent there in story mode.
