I was homeless for the past year and a half, and I've never even smoked a cigarette. So what do you mean by we only use money for drugs? Kind of shows how much of a disgusting waste of a life you are with that statement, considering if you just replaced the word "homeless" with "black" your comment would've been seen for what it is, nothing but hate speech directed towards the less fortunate. I get its a joke, but having sensitivity about serious issues is why there aren't "funny" jokes about cancer Patients, rape victims, holocaust survivors, and suicide. Its a serious subject you can't take lightly. so why you think its okay to belittle people for what they don't have is beyond me, keeping in mind for a second that you're probably the same kind of person who hates the "1%" because they "don't donate money" even though you are the 1% to homeless people who have *nothing,* and illegal immigrants can't apply for government aid like ebt aka foodstamps (meaning, all their income is handouts or papers free work). Who knows how many lives you've ruined by acting like this. This mindset is exactly why people in minority groups do bad shit, no one gave them a chance to speak, and treated them like dirt. This confirmation bias BS is exactly how the media gets people to hate minorities (not just racial) that are misunderstood; "just say they all just want crack money, and people will stop viewing them as humans or even try to help" Tl;dr- you're an idiot who claims all homeless people will only buy drugs and that you won't help them, even though that same reasoning of *no home man bad* is why so many inner city kids grow up to be gangsters after years of being treated like dirt, the same way homeless people do.

After buying and reading the book "The Lost Ways" I learned and discovered a lot of wild lettuce in my backyard. I followed the direction in the book about how to make the pain killer remedy from wild lettuce. It's a simple somewhat long process. The process reduces the product to a consistence like bbq sauce. !/4 teaspoon will quickly remedy pain. The product works fairly quick, but it does not last as long I would like it to. It definitely works well.

I experimented with two of the plants in this video in the 1970s. Amanita muscaria (magic mushroom), and Datura stramonium (jimson weed). I ate a pod full of jimson seeds and tripped for 4 days. I quit telling people about my experience because they would want to try it too, and every one of them ended up spending time in a mental institution. Jimson weed grows in my back field. But as you suggested, I only look at it, and sometimes photograph it because the trumpet blossoms are pretty. Some have suggested I kill the plants. My response is, if I took the time to kill everything that could harm me, I wouldn't have time left to do anything else. Another plant worth mentioning is Valerian. Diazepam (Valium) is made from the roots of the plant. Valerian root tea with a bit of honey is a nice sleep and relaxation aid.

Mushrooms are weird.

The Lenape tribe of Native Americans traditionally used jimson weed leaves as a poultice for burns, which makes perfect sense since daturas like Jimson weed contain tropane alkaloids which are skin soluble. I make my own wild lettuce extract for asthma instead of using Symbicort. I also live in Florida and the plant is pretty small here. I usually end up driving to South Carolina to find plants that can be damn near 20 feet tall and last me for a good while. If anyone wants to use it for asthma, I recommend 500mg to 1000mg of dried extract which looks black when your done. If your allergic to latex, don’t take it. My wife is and she took 500mg as an experiment and ended up with itching all over her body, dry mouth, cracked lips and some difficulties breathing. Everyone else I’ve given it to without the allergy to latex has had no problems. The latex can also clog bleeding and helps clot the blood on small cuts. I also have PTSD and the plant helps me be aware of dreams as they occur many people with PTSD no longer have. It also stops heartburn in its tracks at 1000mg.

Wow!! thanks for all that detailed first hand experience. The truth is with all the foraging info and what not out there it's still really valuable to find someone who uses something first hand and isn't just regurgitating something they read somewhere... which is exactly what I had to do for a lot of this video. ;-). It's much harder than people think to find someone who has actually used something frequently enough to give their detailed opinion on it. Thanks so much for watching my video and adding your knowledge.

@@darken3150 I know you were not talking to me but I've made a extract / reduction that's more similar to a tar, you can eat it for pain relief or to help you sleep. No high if anyone is wondering. Take all your plants before they go to seed, you want to see sap if you scratch the plant. I pick it, blend it up with some distilled water then add it to a crock pot (usually will need many bundles to make it worth it) cook on the keep warm setting and stir occasionally, this will take 10 hours, you don't want to cook it fast, the water will start to evaporate. When most is gone, get cheese cloth and put your ground up lettuce in and squeeze out all the juice, keep doing this until crick pot is empty. Then pour the juice back in crock pot and slow cook again, watch close now as the water will evaporate leaving a thick black tar like substance, (you want consistency close to that of molasses) , bottle it and put in the fridge. Then if you can't sleep take a small amount and put under your tongue, it tastes nasty but can help you get some rest, you don't need to take much.

we have a variation of jinson weed here in latin america i think? the flower and leaf format look the same at least, but it grows in a small tree. I have one in my garden. it is know as "midnight lady". the flowers are VERY hallucinogenic, and if you inject it you straight up never go back to normal. People use the flowers and leaves to wrap cigarettes as well, and they are still really strong that way, having a trip that can lasts up to days. the tree is gorgeous tho, the flowers are very fragrant and they attract a lot of bees, butterflies and beetles, making it a lot easier to get a nice pollinated garden. The only precaution we have is not to let any children get near it, other than that it's a wondeful plant.

They look similar to a" toad stool" white with a gold metallic tip but underneath are different and have gill like flappy things and a skirt around the stem that a toad stool doesn't have, also when you break any part of it open it or damage it will turn blue like smuff blue. Anywho you ment to boil them and drink it like tea, but I just ate the fresh ones (takes about an hour to digest food, and that's how long it took to kick in) but while I waited I thought it be cool idea to grind up the dry ones and smoke it through a bong... it paralized me for a short moment instantly, literally I still had bong and lighter in hand and tipped to my side like I was frozen. Then the ones I ate kicked in, It was a nice experience, lights had a long after glow like a long exposure time, solid things become wavey and liquid like, and my body felt like it was getting a full warm body hug. But my sister tried it and she ended up freaking put and seen spiders and was throwing things at them. Guess I knew I was tripping and rode it out
