that's awesome. i do the same stuff for impacts. i just used the gun cocking and bang on my last beat. one of my favorites is the big fire woosh, it really makes the drop sound aggressive. i like my drops to feel like king kong slamming his fist down so basically the more aggressive the better. sometimes an electric buildup before a big zap and ongoing buzz sound cool too. lots of combos and ways to make awesome shit.

Use gain plugin for volume automation that way you can still balance your mix later. That will also make you at least 20% better person. x

Hey Alex, great video, really! :) Sometimes showing a clear example of what you're explaining would be helpful. Like when you automated the volume for the gun effect to pop through, you never actually showed how it sounded all together. Showing the result of your effort again, really emphasizes the usefulness of the tip! :) Otherweise you've got a great presenting style and explain super well, keep it up!
