What happens if you go directly from freeze to slow cooker? Thawing is another step and for those w executive dysfunction/food issues, its possible to chsnge moods after thawing.

It depends on the meal. Some can be cooked from frozen by increasing the cooking time. The beef taquitos do extremely well cooked from frozen actually.
