Thank you so much for this video. A couple of years ago (pre-pandemic), I was selling on Posh, and got away from it, but I’m back. The only thing I remember not liking was that I was selling some perfumes (I work in luxury retail fragrances) and someone commented that it was not allowed (very snarky), and then reported me😑. I was really put off, since I saw ALOT of people selling fragrances. But I’m going to give it a go again, and I really appreciate you!!

Hi Becky, You can now take picture in longer version for Poshmark. You just need to zoom out to fit in the square mode. For me it has been helpful when taking pictures of dress/coat etc. Also, better Color for those longer items as well.

Great info for new sellers! I would add a slight disclaimer on Walmart Items; if they’re plus size and in excellent condition or new with tags, I would pick them up if you can get them for $3 or less. I just sold an eyelet white dress NWOT for $35 and picked it up for $2. 👍🏼

Adding to this, check SOLD comps on items that you are looking to list. You might be surprised (Like a Walmart brand for instance) is a great seller/hot item, whether it is that size, color, or style, but another item in that same brand may not sell as well (if not at all). Never turn down a brand just because it is a supermarket brand. You may surprise yourself. ALWAYS CHECK COMPS.

Sometimes it’s good to go back to the basics! I ended up letting my sales go. When I got an order- I ignored it because it has become such a daunting task to go through my inventory. I have too much inventory. I have amassed an uncontrollable amount of clothing. I had to get back to the basics and this video helped me more than you know. I am currently trying to find two orders and I have 4 that I shipped already. Omg. Reselling is not for the faint of heart.

I’ve started organizing my inventory by TYPE that way if there are questions, I know to go to specific bins to look for it vs going through everything. Also adding your business card as tag then writing the measurements and date on it and having this as a picture in the listing in addition to the description box. Ppl don’t read lol 😂 hope this helps

I'm confused about the shipping. If I know something is over 5 lbs do I set that up when creating the listing or does it always default to the standard 5 lbs and under and then I change it once the item sells? And on that same note, am I always responsible for the shipping cost over the $7.67 or does the buyer pay it, and how would they if it's upgraded after they buy the item?

Poshmark said that adding the original price helps with sales because it gives the buyer a bigger sense that they are getting a great deal. Based on data. I always add it, or at least, approximate

Thumbs Up👍for the information had to wait till the end for shipping out, just added your scale from Amazon. One thing I must mention to me putting items on a floor is a no no that's not impressive its where people walk on from the street and may be dirty and even if they dont walk on it with shoes on then its bare feet its still inappropriate to me anyway. Any back ground is better than the floor! Been shopping on ebay over 10 years and know detailed photos is very important to make a sale better and faster make sure to add specific flaws and defects if you dont want a negative feed back co concerning item description!

I have a question- Are seasons a factor on when you list an item? For instance, I know every place starts seasons at different times of the year but still is it a bad idea to post say a summer dress or summer sandals in October or February or whatever? Or should you should you wait until 1-2 months within the general season?

A great tip on photos in Poshmark is if you don't take it in square mode, simply pinch zoom out and it creates a border so that your entire picture fits!

Echoing off the measurements comment - I personally won't buy from someone who doesn't take the time to list measurements in their listing. That is just me. They don't have time to list them, I don't have time to wait for a measurement request. It might take a few extra minutes in the forefront to take measurements but saves time, in the long run, having to go back to the same item over and over answering questions about the main measurements. Long (arms, legs, and torso) Tall and Slim here, I always look for measurements.

Yup. You and me both! It is a hassle to comment then hope and wait they’ll actually respond. Conversely, on the handful of items that I’ve forgotten measurements for, I feel like I ALWAYS get comments on those for measurements lol. Especially because people can’t return due to fit, measurements are something to strongly consider.

Hi Becky, As far as your title goes I always love it when re-sellers talk about how they come up with the titles. I went to an ebay conference in LV and had an "expert" review my listings. One thing they said was do not use any special characters at all...and I see you have an apostrope in your title: Women's. They said the special characters hurt its chances of showing up in google searches. So I took every special character out of mine. I also try pretty hard to put the size in the first 5 words. I heard that the first 5 words are the most important. I know when I am searching for something I do like to see the sizes up front because often the viewing screen will cut off the back part so you have to click on the title to see the size which kind of ticks me off a bit as usually I'm in a little bit of a hurry, there are a lot to look through...an extra step that I may not take...sometimes I just skip the item altogether, just a user FYI. I have seen some titles with all kinds of special characters and emojies and still make a great high $ sale and wonder how that happens LOL. But i believe your chances are better if you follow a standard format. i am so bad at keywords! Its my weakness. I have used the word barbie core, cottage core etc. but I tend to put them in the description. I guess I'm afraid to put in the title although I do use boho a lot. And I will say Western, but also put Rockabilly only down in the description usually. Do you think I am losing sales because of my fear of style words? I guess I'm afraid I'll be wrong or turn off someone, if that makes sense. Thanks for your advice!

It is always so interesting to hear people’s perspectives on this stuff. At the end of the day, it’s the psychology of how people shop. I guess for me personally, while I put the category and size in the title, I don’t put too much stock into where it goes because I think most people who shop online pretty often use size and category filters. That being said, I do think there could be some people shopping specifically by trend related keywords, like the ones you mentioned (barbiecore, Cottagecore). The hard thing is, THAT data is never given to us, as in “you made this sale as a result of the buyer searching ‘barbiecore!’” I would pay good money for THAT kind of data haha

@@FlowInTheSlow It depends. If its a bra or swimsuit and the size is a bra size like 34B, I just put 34B. I assume the reader will understand its a womens one piece or bikini or bra. If it is a tshirt which can be womens or mens I might put Womens S. If its clearly a womans Items such as a dress or skirt I usually just put the "S" (for Small). If it is a S P I will put "SP" and hope if they need clarification they will look in the description or item specifics. I am no expert by any means but so far this has seemed to work. I do have to be careful with titles though as I do use sell similar a lot and sometimes I've left the last size in (I forget to change it). I always try to show a pic of the tag though and so if I do make a mistake, the tag pic will rectify it hopefully. Thanks for your note!

I love PR app; however, when I switched from Apple to Samsung phone recently, I downloaded the app and received their updated version and now I'm having issues using it. I went to your recommended tutorial (2 years old) and it does not help at all with the newer version.

I think you have to reach out to the buyer and ask if they'd be willing to break the bundle up into a few transactions. Poshmark won't support bundles over ten pounds. I hope that helps!
