In 1948 Sri 🇱🇰 Lanka was the Second Richest Contry in Asia ..😭 Only 1 Dollar less than the Japan..😭 But now in 2022, I think Only Afghanistan is behind in the 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka ..So Sad bro because Corruption & Political Pollution ...😭😭 not Incient Peopl's Matter Bro...Lot of love ❤ from 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka ...!

Hi nomac just a friendly note bro. The word “machan” may not be welcomed by everyone especially elders in Srilanka so to greet them it would be better to avoid saying “machan”. :)

Hi Nomac, what you are doing is great to appreciate Sri Lanka it’s people, culture and landscapes. Just an advice to take extra care when hanging out of moving train especially in hilly areas where train go through very tight series of tunnels. Last month one of the french tourists got injured and had to be taken to Colombo for treatment. A friendly advice.

It's good that you gave the disclaimer about hanging out of the train. Of course, locals know about the risks but foreign tourists get very excited to do it and they don't usually think about the risks. I've seen videos of tourists doing crazy poses hanging out of trains for Instagram, and it's just stupid. And if tourists get hurt while doing something without using common sense (in any country) that makes that country look bad.

Hi Mac Sri Lanka Railways is one of the last remaining railways in the world to continue to use the Tyer's Tablet system for signelling. Was first used in the 1850's I suppose...Speak to the station master and check out that price of history the next time you are at a train station bro..cheers
