I go around leaving the roads and ocean signs behind, leading to my already built sites, and build wonders, if I am spawned in an Oceanian-like world,i make a huge statue on the ocean ( like the iron lady) , if i see mountians, i make jesus statues or pagan runes, or ussr red flag upon it and in jungles i make jungle towns, self sufficient, with agriculture, and cattles I've even built an underground town fully decorated with rare items and a hell gate in a speciall religious room I've made castles so vast that i needed to make railways for fast travel I've built big anvient sites with 20 rooms each being a tomb to a warrior in dessert biome and all i build have a sense of "cult" with it, i decorate it to hell with red or purple colors ( or crusade flags or sth) And here's the thing : i did all that shit in survival mode! and that's where the real fun comes from

I wish I would have read this first. This stuff is cool, but not a fan of space games or minecraft, so this barely interested me. More time explaining how they all modeled space would have been nice, but in this instance, gameplay doesn't matter. You people who are out there exploring virtual galaxies are something else! If we can get to a point where it is basically a real life simulator I may jump ship though.

6:38 Another interesting fact that happened with Elite Dangerous its that it actually predicted a real stelar system with its algorithim before it was actually discovered, it got the place and formation really really close from what it is in real life. Minecraft is even bigger now, as of the 1.18 Caves & Cliffs update (Nov 24th, 20221). The sky limit and bottom of the worlds were both increased 64 blocks. The bedrock of the world is now at -64 instead of 0 and the roof of the world is now 320 instead of 256, and we now have terrain generation that can on occasion reach 256 blocks tall instead of only 128. That is an overall increase of 16% in both directions! So even the smallest one on this list... just got bigger.
@chunkycomet91173 жыл бұрын

I think space games are a given, so I believe that they should be covered in a separate video. What's disappointing is that he didn't even cover the Nether or the End only the Overworld. As the April Fools snapshot 20w14∞, infinite dimensions was created plus Minecraft is easily moddable to go further and adding more dimensions, so by default, Minecraft should always be number one on the size scale.

Fun fact: Elite Dangerous already had some Kepler Planet Systems and the Trappist-1 system pretty close to what they turned out to be before they were even discovered and confirmed by NASA Edit: I actually meant to say it had the Trappist-1 system, but apparently some Kepler systems were there as well
@LSDon-gs7bz4 жыл бұрын
what are you even smoking that doesnt even make sense. 1. there is no such thing as the Kepler Planet System. there ARE a number of solar systems under various Kepler designations however all of the discovered and labeled ones were discovered before elite dangerous even thought about trying to copy what star citizen wants to do. new planets have been discovered in some of those systems but thats beside the point. 2. if your talking about what i think your talking about then considering ALL of the systems in elite dangerous are based on our solar system they just tweek it and 10% of the systems in elite dangerous are literally OUR solar system with the planets order mixed up and colors changed so when we finally find other solars systems like ours well guess what 10% of the systems in elite dangerous have a chance to be similar thats not good science prediction or luck its just plain out inevitable

@@LSDon-gs7bz Yes, Elite Dangerous, may have some copies, but they used real star system charts and began making this game before you were even and itch in your daddy's pants... ;) 1984 is the starting date for this map... over 500 Billion systems to explore..... If you were to count to 1 million...1,2,3,4.... it would take you over 2 months.. this is not millions, its billions. And as things were discovered in the Real world about things in space, Elite Dangerous, made corrections and updates as they seen fit. I have played ED for years, and to be truthful, most of my time was spent within 100 light years of SOL "our sun". with the expansion pack called "Horizons", you can land on the planets also. So, to say they generated the world, like Star Citizen did.... is an insult to the ED developers and the player base. Do your home work, before go toxic on something you know very little about.

As much as I love sprawling space games, I just wish as much effort could be placed on density as well. I'm only speaking from my experience in SC, but I would much rather have maps half the size that are just as impressively dense in content and cityscape. Imagine if you could actually walk Arc Corp on foot. Find new shops, completely unique items, quests or even masses of players/NPCs around each city... That would immerse me so much more personally.
