I was surprised by both the quality of the earphones and the microphone. This leaves the question of how rugged it is. Can it stand up to repeated use over time.

@@ThriftyAV yup. for me. and i’m a abusive user. i used it a lot and even yanked the aux cord so many times that a turtle beach headset couldn’t even handle. well worth my cheap head money 😂

I’m glad they are decent. I bought them for streaming because my dad keeps hounding me to do twitch but I’m on the lowest budget of all time.

Get an amp for it, I bought a cheap one off ebay and it even adds a bit of bass. It is super easy to add a switch to mute the mic. Just add it in line to either of the 2 mic wires before they hit the speaker.

@@maddietolley8946 either use the scroll wheel on the cord or just use the mute function in your app or game. I play TF2 and it's set to mute unless I press a key so I am always mic muted, but sounds come in as normal if I want to turn the volume of the game down I either do it in game or on the scroll wheel on the cord itself.

It seems interesting to find an off-brand headset sold cheaply that isn't from Amazon. For $5, I wouldn't use it as a primary gaming headset but they'd be OK for general headphone use. However, if it fails then the loss wouldn't be a big deal compared to no-names from Amazon costing $20-$30. It's hard to test the sound quality of the headphones since you have to use your mic which isn't accurate compared to testing in person but you may have better luck with speakers. However, it's easy to test the microphone using software. The lack of a mute option can be a problem if you have games and apps that don't use push to talk and it can also be a problem for PC gamers using mechanical keyboards and gaming mice since hitting the keys and/or clicking the mouse would activate the talk function (mics, especially desktop mics, will easily pick up the keypresses and clicks). I'm also sure controllers (sticks and buttons) could be loud enough to be picked up by the mic.

Im so pissed rn. I saw a tiktok that used this microphone and it sounded really loud and it was very funny. I wanted it so I went out and bought it and now I find out that the microphone is actually good? I mean it was only five dollars so im not THAT mad but now I just have 2 headsets

Looked for the vid you mentioned, but didn't find it. They probably had the gain set too hot... Regardless, it's good to have a backup, so like you said, don't get THAT mad!

first time i got these headphones i wore them for like 13 hours and my ears started bleeding but they get more comfy over time things to know, make sure to have the volume scroll thing below max and your pc volume below 40% and the mic will sound better

How do I set the microphone up on my laptop? I think I can't because my laptop already has a built-in microphone.

If you are running windows, you should be able to find "microphone settings" in your system setup. It changes from windows version to windows version, but there should be a way to select between microphone input devices, including "internal" and "external".

I got these for my son to game on his Nintendo Switch. He can hear clearly but when playing Fortnite, the mic doesn’t work at all. Super weird. Does anyone know why or know how to fix this? TYIA

i have this headset and I use the adapter on my dell computer. But when I want to use the mic it doesnt work. All I can do is hear but not talk.

Hey so I have a theory. Sometimes with trrs headsets, the input jack (called the 'port' actually but whatevs) gets confused as to whether it's a mic or headphones. I have no idea why haha, HOWEVER, if you're on a pc or something like that, go into your settings or the settings for your DAW and make sure that the headset you intend to use is selected as the primary device for microphone input use and for audio output use respectively. That might 'unconfuse' your computer. hope this helps :)

I like these just fine, but I'm not a hardcore gamer. These may not be heavy duty enough to stand up to constant abuse. I like you idea of picking these up for temp use, then decide what you want based on your experience with these.

I littearly got this headset today as an early Christmas present and the Damn Headset Doesn't even work at all for some reason! I can't hear Crap! I've tried to see what's wrong but it doesn't work on my damn controller! Works fine on my phone for some reason but doesn't do what it is meant to do! Fucking headset doesn't work on my Xbox Controller
