@Jeremy Siers - Jeremy - MY BROTHER! I'm your huge fan from India. Trust me, I'm a Teetotaler, always have been, God's willing, always will be :) Yet, I watch all your videos EVERYDAY - repeated number of times. I absolutely adore most of your content, the lighting, the B Roll, the almost everything. My kind request is, you enjoy smoking / drinking and have the willpower to keep it under control - go for it! But, please never encourage the next gen. Even limited quantity isn't any good for health, whatsoever. That being said, 99% of them don't keep it under control. There are many very bad things that happens after consuming alcohol. It's bad for health, wealth, and peace of mind. One wants to unwind, there are 100s of options, like a jog, cycling, meditation, getting a goodnight's rest, as you mentioned drinking adequate amount of water, getting yourself dissolved in nature and more. The reason I'm requesting you this is because, you're an influencer. I buy quite a number of things you own. Of course I need most of them, yet It's a fanboy moment for me :) I hope you get my point. That being said - THANK YOU for all those great videos you produce and nice quality products you promote. God bless you abundantly. Take care, My Brother. Have a great weekend :)

I understand your point and concern. I did try to point that if drinking is a problem for people they should definitely pick another activity such as tea, coffee, even cooking a nice meal. it is more the act of relaxing everyday and taking some time for yourself than the way you choose to do that. Also that only drinking in moderation is good. Drinking more than small amounts can quickly become bad for you instead of a positive thing. Hopefully that message came across In the video. 😉👍🏻

Jeremy Siers, I've been binge watching your videos this morning and have really enjoyed them a lot (subscribed). As a recovering alcoholic, number 5, initially hit me hard, but I continued listening and am glad I did and agree with the point. I've got lots to work on to improve, but move forward every day to do just that. Thank you and keep up the good work!

One of the things I see with a lot of people as they get older is that they stop wanting to learn. This effects their lives immensely, you see them being unable to break out of old habit's due their lack of openness and willingness to try and learn and experience something new. There has got to be some sort of explanation for this, maybe when people have kids and their work and family takes over they lose the time an energy to look for new experiences? It's something I am conscious of and really don't want to fall into that trap, I find so much value in learning and being open minded, it makes life so much more interesting and keeps my mind healthy.

Dude, no bullshit, you have the best way of plugging a sponsor I’ve seen on KZfaq. Entertaining and hilarious. Kudos! All good tips. My life changed back in 2012 when my lung collapsed. I was a smoker, had a shit diet, and didn’t take care of myself at all... I’m also an ectomorph and I weighed about 130lbs at the time. So I was rail thin and thought I was fine. Needless to say, that night and nearly two days in the hospital completely mindfucked me and I’ve been on a path to better myself since. Health is one thing we have complete control over. Choices we make daily. I live by that now. Granted, I fall off here and there, but mostly I stick to it. Since my lung issue, I’ve gained about 30lbs and a lot of knowledge. I work like a dog so I listen to podcasts and audiobooks constantly. There’s always something to learn! Never be afraid to learn or think you have all the answers. Put your ego in check. There’s always someone smarter than you in some way. Knowledge is power! Good videos 👍🏻💪🏻

I really like your last point. I’m not much of a drinker but l quit watching tv during the work week and started to read. I usually don’t get much time after work due to the fact that I work late so I’ll spend an hour or so of my free time to read instead of spending it watching tv. Kinda goes hand in hand with your learning point as well

That's some sage advice!! Last year I was 248lb stressed out all the time. Then 2 things happened to me and the realized I need to change some things. I lost 80lbs, work out, and run every day. I also discovered I needed to take time every day to relax and reflect. The same things you talk about, I discovered too. P.S. I also discovered a love for fine whiskey! Thanks to the great content, keep it up!

I know there’s a lot of comments about soda. I got a kidney stone last year and it was the worst pain I e ever experienced in my life. The stint getting taken out... “here comes the vomit”. Lol. Buy the doctor said it’s probably from all the Mt. Dew I used to drink. I’ve since dropped the soda. Well, I still use it in my mixed drinks. Lol. But I do feel better since I’ve stopped drinking it

I have a couple rules I follow that you might find interesting to try or work in to your daily routine. 1. Challenge yourself/Push a limit: Do a thing but push the limit, get out of your comfort zone, break your record soundly, dare I say scare yourself and keep going? Depending on what you are doing, the adrenaline rush, or the contentment in the knowledge that you have done an achievement, or broken a record, is a great way to have a reason to pat yourself on the back. Just try to mitigate your risks. Don't try to do something terribly unsafe or risky unless you are prepared to accept the consequences. 2. Meet someone new every day, learn their name, and remember it. This is great for your social skills, networking, memory, and conquering social anxiety. 3. Go home a different route. I used to drive over 50k miles per year and I have driven all over the place. Coming home at night the same way sucks. Take a different route and the monotony of your commute will become an adventure. 4. Change the way you drive and become a car handling fanatic. When I drive, because I drive so much, and because I do sim racing after I get home from driving, I like to think of driving as a series of maneuvers for which there are procedures and rules that you follow. This helps to develop good driving habits and mitigate or eliminate the bad ones. For instance when I change lanes, I flip my blinker on 4 seconds before I maneuver. When I initiate changing lanes I try to turn the wheel the same way every time, and while the car is transitioning between lanes I try to hit a raised lane marker with both front tires, aiming deliberately for each one in one smooth motion as the car transitions laterally relative to the road, if there aren't markers, I like to put my wheels between the spaces of the broken line between the lanes. Another thing I like to do is, when coming to a stop light or stop sign, press the brake down just enough for your car to roll to a stop right at the line without modulating the pressure of your foot. This teaches you to judge distance and deceleration under braking. I try never to cut a corner, and when I turn, it will always be deliberate and uniform. Make it look good. I do many other things but I don't want to be here all day. 5. Take a minute every day to appreciate at least 5 things you normally take for granted. The benefits of this should be obvious. There may come a time when something becomes unavailable or taken from you, or you must choose to abstain from later in life. Appreciation for even just the simple things in life will help you to see that not everything is as simple as it might seem, and that we don't get ahead by flying solo. For instance, every time I eat something that tastes amazing, bacon for instance, or tacos, or beer, I say out loud, "man that was great, I'm sure going to miss that when it's gone." The amount of things you could choose to individually appreciate on a daily basis are infinite. 6. Think about the vastness of the universe compared to your puny existence. You are a tiny spec on a pale blue dot orbiting a star at just the right distance that we have liquid water on the surface. Think about how lucky and special that seems. I find the universe wondrous and confusing and it absolutely blows my mind every time I think of it. 7. Help somebody/do a personal thing that makes someones day/life better. The other day a young man about early 20's was sitting outside the supermarket and I knew he was homeless. I asked him if he was hungry and he said yeah that he hadn't eaten all day, so I said "I got you bud." I bought him a nice beer and a small box of fried chicken from the deli and told him, "Do not thank me, you pay that energy forward someday." 8. Do something silly and laugh at yourself. Don't take yourself too seriously. We're all clowns in some way. Amuse yourself. Hope someone can find something useful from this.

My favorite is the second on this list, "Learn Something Everyday". What I learned on one particular day was that "everyday" and "every day" are not interchangeable and are used differently. "Everyday" is used as an adjective to denote something that is ordinary or unremarkable. "Every day" simply means....each day. *This is my everyday watch. I wear this watch every day.* The more you know.

Good video. Here are a couple hacks to add: drink unsweetened sparkling water if your craving for soda gets intense. Also, as a weeknight nightcap, slowly sip a large glass of water alongside your pour of whiskey. Choose a robusto or smaller sized cigar to keep you from wanting to pour more than one glass. I have to agree that this combination has reduced my stress level during these challenging times.

A month and a half ago I was 103 kg's. I decided enough was enough and went on a diet and started exercising. I'm down to 95 kg's now, and I just walk my 10 000 steps every day (at a moderate pace) and also lift some weights and do some simple body weight exercises at home for half an hour. I cut out all sodas (I used to love Diet Coke) and I drink 4 liters of water every day. I try to eat healthy, and I do. No junk food whatsoever, but mostly fish, meat and vegetables. I still put sugar in my coffee and tea, but despite that, the weight is coming off nicely. So yeah, good tips. I'm 40 now so we've got to take better care of ourselves.

I'm new to your channel, found it cause of the EDC video. You are a great story teller and have a lovely tone to your voice. I like your intro too. I've always loved whiskey and always been passionate about my every day carry. I just didn't know it had a name!!! My staple items are an Apple mircro fibre cloth which came with an old monitor for cleaning my glasses and phone. A iPhone 12 with Mous clear case. Living in England Knifes are an issue so i only take a keyring style Victorinox signature or my James Elko black on black out and about. I have a black on black Secrid wallet (can you see a theme?) a black Exposure light the Joystick is what i take in my bag everywhere.

Thanks for the video. I was lucky enough to build some new good habits during the lockdown. But I didn’t realize you were from Florida, where are you from there?

The first biggest habbit that I broke was converting from soda to water and I now rarely touch a can, drinking water became so natural and I feel better for it.

I switched from regular soda to diet soda while deployed in the Army in Kosovo (it was impossible to get regular Coke). Now I only drink Diet Rite (no sodium, caffeine, or calories) in moderation. My empty calories come from craft beer (which I admit, I've found it hard to limit). But I'm all about the exercise, drinking water, and eating well. Just gotta add some skin care to keep my pretty face. Great video!

Good stuff as always bro! As a fellow north of 40 guy these are always things on my mind that I have to take into consideration and try to implement into my daily life. With being said I'm off to relax with a stick and bourbon. Cheers and I'd love to do a Whiskey and cigar pairing video or livestream with you. Cheers buddy!

Hey man, I recently got into cigars and whiskey. Tried to do as much research as possible and really “earn” that knowledge before just jumping into it. I bought 2 bottles of single malt Glenfiddich and a box of Churchill cigars. Would you say that these are decent “entry level” products?
