I believe that it would be a mistake to Cat up to a 2 this year. you have so many skills that you need to work on. Cat 3's have a different skill set than Cat 1's and 2's, let alone Pros. It's not just about strength. In the off season, you need to work on your crashing skills. Ride with your team on a grass field, and practice trying to knock each other off the bike. Learn how to bump and how to recover from touching wheels, without eating it.

Dude that's so crazy... I thought my training brethren and I were the only ones who did that back in the old days - (now the 90's), that and picking up coins off the ground while hanging off the side of your bike. Watch Jeff's Cat's Hill vijeo then report back... I have to give RJ respect for his save in the second to last turn, that was truly a good one.

Love the daily volgs but don't push a injury and cause a stress fracture. I Dip my hip in and was off the bike completely for 6 weeks.

11:48 - I disagree with this self assessment.... and I appreciate that I think you guys can handle the feedback, but you did not hit it hard enough, as is precipitated by your danger man jumping your lead out. 11:44 is precisely the moment to go, and that Cole should have felt it in the soles of his shoes (no offense to Cole, but he was not down to sprint.) - he was able to soft peddle for 2-3 strokes which allowed the Linder to come from 10th wheel..... You should have been going faster!!!!!

Allow to me go further into detail: As Mitch pulls off and you are winding up your lead out, you'll see there in the video that Mitch is the perfect road furniture to protect Cole and allow him to launch, again, your lead out should have been faster, and if Cole has a sprint, that was the time to unleash it. Cole don't be afraid to be out front.

I agree with PF. The fact that your sprinter was following your wheel closely without getting out of the saddle indicates you did not accelerate too hard. And Jeff coming around at 200m to go shows that the overall speed of the leadout was too slow. Don't be afraid to put out some big watts!
