Күн бұрынToday I'm taking a look at the Level gaming speakers from Bass Jaxx.
What we have here is a pair of USB powered aux input speakers with a color changing LED effect. The box claims that these speakers were designed specifically for the PC gamer, but do they truly deliver on that promise?
One thing I should point out is that while these speakers are USB powered, they are not actually USB speakers. They don't show up on your PC as a USB audio device, which I think is a missed opportunity. USB sound cards aren't expensive, so they could have easily slipped one in the case. Maybe I should mod these...

Well I bought these. They work on my switch and my phone. The little plastic piece in the middle is pressed it though but they work. I’m honestly surprised at how the audio is actual decent

BrownRambo23 Then light up when they’re plugged in powered on. There’s no separate switch or button to make the light turn on and off So basically when it has power the light just turns on

Codiac Kai Do you mean make them work with iPhone? You plug in the headphone adapter into the headphone port on your phone but the speakers still need external power so they need to be plugged into a power socket So they need to be plugged into a power socket and into your phone at the same time

have had a pair for a little while, sound great. The lights don't turn off but I never unplug them from my computer. I just let them stay on 24/7. Is that a bad thing that can damage the speakers? Because I don't have a problem with them not turning off

I rigged up a power solution with a non-momentary switch from my e-scrap . I'm the guy who saves the 'try me' button , I've made more use out of these cheap throwaway buttons then the products themselves. Most are momentary, like a doorbell. There are also different ways to achieve the same results in software.. I'm really curious about that $15 drone they had around Black Friday , comparable quad copters are priced at $35 + .. The USB hubs @ 5below now have power switches, and an input for external power, although they're all Type-C. If you're lucky you may still find 1 with a Type A connector.

You need to plug them into your phone's 3.5mm headphone jack. If your phone doesn't have a headphone jack you'll also need the appropriate dongle for your model phone. You'll also need to plug the speakers into a USB power supply, since these speakers are not rechargeable.

I don’t really use speakers or even have a gaming pc but do you think these would work with a Nintendo Switch?

If the Switch works with standard headphones it'll work with these. You'll just need to provide the speakers with power via USB with a power bank or phone charger. IIRC the USB port on the Switch is just for charging, so it shouldn't output power even if you use an adapter.

Designed specifically for the PC gamer. Not because it has quality and immersive spatial audio, where you could hear sounds all around you and pinpoint that gunfire or explosion that could save you from a death. Not because it has a built-in DAC that allows you to easily connect your headset and experience virtual 7.1 surround sound. Noo... Not even because it gives you free game codes with it. Noooo... BECAUSE IT HAS COLOR CHANGING LEDS, DUH!

I just returned these speakers today. I bought them the other day at 5 and below. The rgb didn't work and I could only hear the backround music and not the words the person was singing. Do you know why this happened?

It might be your aux cord. If i hangs or is at an angle they can be broken.

Same here. Only one lights up and the other doesn't play any audio and makes an annoying sound. Definitely a waste of 5 dollars

They look like a pair of googly eyes , but for $5 they don't sound bad. So if you didn't want the light show you could still run these to a 3.5mm input and get sound, or is the sound powered by the USB to power the speakers and the lights....the second seems odd as the output of the 3.5 should be enough for just sound imho.

You need to power them in order to get audio out of them. It makes sense due to the fact that they use 52mm audio drivers, and the sound needs to travel further than if it was coming out of headphones. The 1-2 volts coming out of a headphone jack just isn't enough for that. If you want to disable the LEDs you could always open up the speaker and cut or desolder the connection. They seem to be held together by just a few (admittedly deep) screws.

i am seeing comments saying they don't work. I don't own these and I am not an expert, but i think it may be a damage aux cord because there other comments saying they work. Again, I am not an expert but i suggest trying moving your aux cord or getting a new one.

Sounds like you might have gotten a defective unit. You may need to return it, which you can do within two weeks of purchase.

Id recommend for just a few dollars more Monster speakers. Big lots's gaming brand. Better audio with full RGB

I've been looking for a review of this speaker for a while, I noticed Biglot has dropped them to $10.99, I was wondering how they stack overall vs the Bugha sub/sat (I own these, tbh I'm highly impressed when powered by my 2A brick).

I bought these to try them out. They have decent sound but the right one has a slight burning smell when plugged into a USB port on a wall. The lights don’t work either. Have any idea why there is a smell

For pc you will need to plug the audio cable and the USB if it isn't working the audio cable is that headphone piece that goes in phone

You have to open the speakers and solder it back in. You'd be better off returning and/or exchanging the speaker since you got a dud.

Do you have them plugged into a USB power source of some kind? These speakers have to be plugged into a USB power source at all times in order to work. They're not rechargeable.

It uses a 3.5mm jack, so you'll need to use an adapter if you have one of the newer iPhones without a headphone port. Also, you'll need to power the speakers using a USB port on a computer, a wall adapter, or a USB power bank. These speakers are not rechargeable or battery powered.

You need to power the speakers from a USB power source first. A smartphone OTG cable might work, but a rechargeable USB power bank would be more reliable. After that just plug the audio cable into the phone's 3.5mm audio jack (some phones need an additional dongle to add that these days).
