Most important point that i understood is that person who is making his own home through trusted builder and if it costs 2-3 Lac more then it should be acceptable because he is saving his own Research cost that he would otherwise need do bear it if he takes responsibility of building his home by own.

Builders charged atleast 10 percent of construction cost. Usually around 10 lakhs...if you make your own you can save that amount.

great i think contractor should also do soil test. we do not have regulations but god will be happy and contractor will feel confident if they build quality houses.
