Who is living your life? This is a short exercise and meditation to see how our lives are lived by reactivity and automatic impulses when we don't pay attention. To see how we are when we are not aware.
Observing the mind, the doer, can reveal some surprising insights into the machinery that runs our lives. All is needed is to step out of the incessant stream of rising thoughts, emotions, and impulses and observe without the need to control or change anything.
To live our own lives and consciously act, we must be free from reactivity and automatic patterns and habits. Real freedom is when we are not at the mercy of the next thought or impulse.
