Our son struggles with writing too and we’ve been doing iew but it’s not his favorite. We’re going to keep at it for the most part. Thanks for sharing. Your videos are great.

Oh I hate to hear he doesn’t like it. I think it is a wonderful program but with any curriculum, it works well for some but not for others. Don’t be afraid to try something else if you feel like it may not be working well for him. 😊 And thank you so much! I’m very new but I really really enjoy making them and hearing from other homeschoolers.

Also, if there is something specific he doesn’t love about it, you might want to think about reaching out to IEW and talking to them. They have WONDERFUL customer service and they may be able to give you an idea of how to modify it to work a little better for him. I don’t know for sure but it might be worth a phone call. They are so so nice. 😊

@@Making_Homeschool_Happen I belief it’s a fabulous program too and works so great for so many. We are coming down to some diagnosis on learning and our son definitely has a neurodivergent learning impediment. What a great idea to reach out to the company. And welcome!! You’re doing great already! I enjoy making videos too. It’s become a nice outlet to the typical; and it’s a great way to document and leave some keepsakes.

Gotcha. Yeah, I’d imagine a learning issue would make writing so so difficult. Best of luck to you navigating through that. And yes!! It’s such a great outlet. I didn’t even think of the keepsake aspect of it. That’s a great thought!!

@@Making_Homeschool_Happen our girls who have tried iew don’t love it either though but I do appreciate the approach to writing at least for a couple years to understand the benefit of adding dress ups and such. It’s a good program for sure but somewhat hyped up in my opinion.
