I've got the OEM tank grip pads, but I'm not so happy with them. They simply aren't big enough/cover enough of the tank. My knees will touch the lower part of the tank and create scratches, naturally. The techspec ones, which I've had on my previous bike and was really good, don't cover the lower part neither. So I found Eazy-Grip tank pads which cover said area, but quoting my friend which had pads from eazy-grip - they aren't really grippy and don't stick that well. Waiting for R&G to release something, no pictures of theirs yet. Hard to find a screen for the bike that I like. The OEM isn't that bad, and thanks for the advice on the ali-express one that you have! You mentioned that it deflects wind more off of the chest and up in the neck area - does it create more noise / wind buffeting on the helmet? This is one of my biggest 'concerns' with adding a screen.

I agree that the original tank grips from yamaha are not perfect since they do not cover the full side of the tank but I never had any scratches and my knees always grip. None of the screens in the market right now look good enough for me, but this is the cheapest one that actually works. I did experience wind buffeting when I lowered my body into a tucked position, but nothing when you sit normally.

Good review on tank pads. Ordered an mt 09, ofc thinking of which tank grips. I have the eazi-grip PRO on my old Z1000 and they do grip a lot. After your comment ill might consider again eazi-grip. thanks

Can have a closer look at how you install the side mirror? I can see that you maintain the original bar end, doing that the mirror wont hit the tank at full turn right?

Absolutely v essential list. Just got my mt09 and I noticed engine temperature while cruising reaches 85c/185F sometimes 95c/203F. Is this something normal? I started to notice this when the fan turned on to cool the bike I’d appreciate sharing your experience so far. Thanks

Congratulations on the bike. Yes it's absolutely normal, it reaches a temp of 85 while riding and may get up to 105 in a stand still. The fan kicks in at 100+

@@BrunoSantos-ml9jf I nstalled a longer 7cm screw and added the mirrors with the mount on the outside of the original bar end weights.

Is it legal to ride in the yellow lane (bus lane) on a bike?

Not really legal, but cops don't pull bikes over for that. The whole point of riding a bike in the city is to move around quicker and reduce traffic jams. You can also ride on the right side of the road in a traffic jam, but it isn't legal on paper.
