Nootropics are a great way to quickly boost brain performance, reduce stress, heighten focus & improve memory. When you’re tired, one of the first things to be impacted is your mental cognition, specifically your memory, focus & emotional control. The brain uses the most energy out of any organ, which means we need to support it, so it supports us when our back is against the wall and we have deadlines to meet.
That’s why today, I’m going to share with you my top 5 nootropics for boosting memory, concentration, & productivity to help get you fired up & focused.
For my book Unstoppable, I explored various nootropics so I could reboot my body and my brain after suffering from depression, anxiety, and intense fatigue. And the ones I’m about to share with you are my personal favorites, heads up, I have not been paid to mention any of them. I’ve taken KSM-66. It really does work. The other ones I’m not really sure if I should take because of the SSRI I’m currently taking.

Hello Ben. First I want to say great video and you always put out great content. I recently bought your unstoppable book and your 90 day journal. I have two questions 1. do you plan to put out a video on how to take full advantage of your 90 day journal 2. I purchased some l- tyrosine and l- theanime. I want to also get some Qualia energy as well. Should I get pill or liquid, since I already made the other two purchases. But what should be my regimen. Do I take them all every day for five days. Or what. 3. I need something to help me get up at four am with energy and mental clarity to work out and work on my business before the kids get up

Hi Ben, I have not taken nootropic before but what would your recommendation be for memory improvement long/short term that doesn't have an addiction side affect?

Hi Amose, great question. In this case I would stick to nootropics that are naturally found in food, such as L-Tyrosine specifically, it's also found in chicken, avocado, peanuts. L-Theanine is also a good go to for you, it's naturally found in black or green tea. I have not found either of these to be addictive in nature at all. As with any nootropic you need to cycle them, i.e. 5 days on, 2 days off, then one week off per month. Not because they are bad or addictive, it's because your body adapts to them. These are my two top go-to's for people getting started. I personally stay away from anything potentially addictive, with the exception of Nicotine which I use in a patch form, at a low dose to control how much I'm having, even then I can take a few days off it without ill effects because the dose is so low. Thanks Angus, optimal dose depends on your sensitivity to them. I keep a journal when experimenting. For example, I only need 3 pills for Qualia for me to be at my optimal level of focus/energy, without being overstimulated.

Hey Ben. Thanks for the informative vids. I live in Tasmania and. have tried everywhere to get some L-Theanine to no avail. I managed to get L-Tyrosine and Ashwagandha fairly easily however. Can you recommend a pure source/brand of L- Theanine to purchase. Cheers. BTW I've been sleeping like a baby after taking the L-Tyrosine and Ashwag at night. 👍🙏

If you listen to what he says you should take tyrosine in the morning before a workout (it's a well known stimulant... certainly not to take before bed)

How often should you cycle off of l-tyrosine? and for how long?

Hi Zoe, according to webmd, tyrosine is possibly safe when taken as a medicine for short-term use, up to 150 mg/kg daily for up to 3 months. This is also dependent on the dose that you are taking, and how much you are getting from your diet. For example, some proteins have high levels of l-tyrosine in it, so supplementing with it more may not be required, or may cause unwanted side-effects. It's a case by case basis and based on your nutritional needs and any gaps you may have in your diet. I nutritionist will be able to guide you to the specific dose you need.

Sir thank u very much for Information. About combining (L theanine +L tyrosine + caffeine) It was very help full sir 👍 Sir can we take the 2 amino acid(L theanine + L tyrosine) together. As it is written on my tyrosine bottle not to take L tyrosine with protein meals, supplements or other amino acid supplements to get best results. Will it work with LTheanine? Please reply sir

Hey Rammile, I'd recommend Qualia for that personally. I tend to alternate between Qualia and Findmyformula. Both are incredible! Just make sure to have a break from either of them on the weekends.

For people with disfunctional dopamin intake (add/ adhd example) l- thyrosin is rather relaxive than stimulant. 😉
