If we’re talking about “opportunistic” signings that genuinely address what we need in midfield, a combination of Gibbs-White and Fofana does it for me. Gibbs-White can fill in for Ødegaard or play alongside him, depending on the need. And Fofana…wow! He’s one of the most vertical players I’ve seen in a while. Talk about an all action midfielder! And for that price…if he’s interested, get it done day one of the window!!!

Fofana's by far the best player on this list and the only one that would improve the Arsenal "first 18" squad. We couldn't get him for 20m - he'd be a bargain at 40m. No way should we sign Gibbs-White or Dewsubry-Hall - they will not improve the starting squad. We have a much better double-barreled name already at Arsenal - ESR - why would we sell him to accommodate lesser talents? Our priority signings should be: Sesko, Fofana and Hato to strengthen each of the the front, midfield and back. Assuming we sell several fringe players (Tierney, Vieira, Lokonga, Nketia, Reece) we hopefully will have enough spare change to buy a Saka stand-in. I'd love Kudus who has huge talent and output and also workrate - he ran his balls off against us in the 0-2 defeat at the Emirates. He could also play in the 10 role.

Bruno or De Jong are the 2 players that will undoubtedly take us up to the next level.

I think that image you were showing of all the players in their positions was a little misleading. Let’s remember that tomiyasu can play all across the backline, timber can play right and left back, kiwior can play left back, and white can play center back! For me, if we keep all our backline players, I think we can go for a defender next season and put more funds towards getting maybe two forwards this summer instead!

Kimmich could be a amazing option if he decides not to extend his contract with bayern but this is probably not likely until after the Euros

A lot depends on who is going too. Fofana is the must sign from this list. Beyond that if we are gonna lose ESR and Vieira then MGW is a possible signing although I prefer Eze. KDH is an interesting choice as the 8, he's done really well in the championship

Onana + Fofana for the price of Guimaraes? It would add real depth to the squad, including the defence.

I feel like we can't have any passengers next season, so signing a player that's not Premier League proven would be step back (remember Sambi Lokonga?). UNLESS if the foreign player is an elite one, then I don't mind.

I think the clubs mentioned in that post will have petitioned it's removal. The post could be seen as damaging any players value for those selling clubs by making everyone else aware of the need to sell.

We need at least one more big signing this window. Either in the Attack or Midfield. Some might even Argue we need more than that. Get Isak or Osimhen and Bruno G or De jong. If we go for sesko, then we get the big money signing in the midfield position, Vice versa. I personally think Bruno G is worth 70mil.

MGW would be a great Odegaard deputy. Should be able to play the 8 role too if desperate sometimes but the captain needs a "go get it" type deputy who can impact games like Trossard.

Even though he's not on your list James, Adam Wharton is the same player profile as Granit Xhaka so, for me, that would be the ideal signing as we've really missed him in the team, however. ...... Xhaka was an extremely experienced player and Wharton is still really young, it might be too early for him to move to a title challenging club although he might surprise us, we'll see how he does at the Euros. He also counts as a homegrown talent, and that would be important for us as we're looking to offload a lot of our homegrown players.

Fofana is the obvious choice but no chance he goes for 20M. Lots of clubs can afford that and so there will be a bidding war starting at 20M IMO

Neves from Benfica would be my first choice with Onana from Everton second and Fofana third

Onana as the defensive powerhouse #6, leaving Rice and Odegaard to open up defences with ease. Onana has all the qualities we should be looking for in a 6

We need Amadou Onana for 6 position and Youssef Fofana can play 6/8/10 he can cover for odegaard if needed him or Rice position etc, his value will increase with us too in a year or two he can be worth 80mill easy the way he plays is brilliant snap him up Arsenal. As far as this list goes, I do like Gibbs-White, I think he'd thrive at The Arsenal and would add a lot of attacking ability in our already talented team. He also wouldn't be that expensive either and is another homegrown player which is important. As for Onana, he would be my choice as 6/8 so he could dove tail with Declan Rice perfectly and switch between roles for certain games. A £50 million fee well spent in my opinion.

We'll never get Luiz from Villa for £60 million. Not with them being in the Champions League. Add another £20+ and you're in the ballpark for Luiz. Onana from Everton would be a great buy. He's a real box to box beast in midfield. Plus he's always caused us problems and £50 million would be about right for him. Gibbs-White. He doesn't really float my boat. He's not really a midfielder and he's not really a striker. Dewsbury-Hall. See the one just above. his profile just doesn't excite me as an Onana would. Fofana would be good. Just like an Onana. But where Onana wins, is his experience in the Premier League. But either player would be good for us. But do have a look at some wingers in one of your videos. One I'd be interested in your view would be the young lad, Désiré Doué, from Rennes. He's young but can play either left or right winger. He'd be really good cover for Saka or the Martinelli / Trossard side of the pitch. Plus he's fast, tricky, doesn't get pushed off the ball easily and always looking to take on any defender. Though, he is a little raw. But Arteta wouldn't have problems moulding him into a great player. *#COYGsince66*

I think Fofana is the best target - but I don't see it happening. I'd probably prefer a Douglas Luiz or a Bruno after but I think Onana is most definitely the best target after Fofana simply based on his age and his attributes I think could push Rice further up the pitch and develop even more... May lack a bit of the technique we'd lose from Partey going I just think having a base of a Rice & Onana in front of Saliba & Gabriel is ridiculous especially considereing his age and value

If Partey moves on, get BOTH Onana and Fofana. Coz Partey is two players in one. Fofana is the closest to him in terms of ball playing ability but Onana's physicality is important as well.

We need a proper striker and i just feel Osimhen edge out sesko for his winning mentality and the hunger. Whereelse a midfielder elsewhere other than the premier league would be a cheaper solution. The target is to spend BIG on a striker to compete with Haaland. They've De bryune so do we in Odegaard to provide/assist but definitely not a goalscorer upfront. A harvertz won't break teams like Villa/Fulham defence.

Gibbs White wouldn't start and he would be a player that would add depth. We would still buy a 6 and play rice at 8. I think it would be great to add a player like Morgan Gibbs White and Fofana. Personally I think this would be a solid and realistic window to serve the specific goal of addressing as many positions as possible with durable and dynamic players who will raise the floor of the team and allow us to truly compete and deal with as many scenarios as possible. Sesko Fofana (starter) Gibbs White or in a dream scenario Eze( who would be a starter with rice going to six and fofana dropping to bench ) Nico Williams or the Girona winger for cheap Kadioglu

I honestly don’t think Arsenal will sign anyone “exciting” or any of the players commonly mentioned this summer. I think the club believes we already have what it takes to win, and they’ll only sell players for cheap and try to replace those players for cheap. Which is a shame.
