Haunted houses are great stories but monsters are far better

When i was a child i lived in a house that was built in the 1800s (1825) and id wake up at night and see a lady and two children next to her in the doorway and of course SCREAM BLOODY MURDER. Doors would always slam and our tv would turn on and off, changing channels frequently. When i was around 3 I would look outside and call to my mother saying, "mom! Look at the pretty flowers!" When there would be no flowers, but before i was born my grandma (who died) had flowers in that area where i would point, crazy stuff. Bonus: i had the door to the upstairs and attic in my room, which we found a pilgrim shoe in one of the stairs???

After Scary stories in Winter, haunted house stories are some of my favorite stories to listen to. They (Haunted Houses) are also typically where Ouija board stories take place, if not in graveyards. P.S. According to Rebecca Green's book "How to Make Friends with a Ghost", you should check to make sure a house is not haunted already when you move to a new place. Ghosts do not like competition.
