My pet leopard gecko is so cool. I call to him and he’ll come to me and crawl up my hand ready to be held. Never knew they were so cool with a personality. His name is chicken little! Thumbs up and cheers from California!

Just don’t squeeze them. I should say this for all ages but especially babies. And don’t handle them to high up because if they fall they will get hurt. After all there ground dwelling geckos. Oh and make sure to always be ready to catch your gecko if it tries to run away they can be quite fast lol.

They are such awesome pets! I haven’t even had mine for a full year and already we have a great bond. She’s so friendly and genuinely seems to enjoy coming out to be handled. She’s a beautiful hypo tremper albino with a lovely carrot tail and she cost me under $30 (I have a shop that breeds them in house and I got to meet her parents and her sister. They do an amazing job with all their animals and really know their stuff.)

I got my boyfriend into leopard geckos, and reptiles in general, and a week ago, we found two for rehoming! This past week has been filled with contacting the rehomer, setting up enclosures and LOTS AND LOTS OF RESEARCH. Today I surprised him with a 4-5 page complete leopard gecko guide filled with information from many sources, including you!! So thank you!! We're so excited :)

Try to give a variety because they can get bored & refuse to eat it. I can’t give my older girl because she’s a fatty cuz when I got her she was skinny & gave her mostly horn, wax, & meal worms & now I’m currently feeding her crickets & meal worms once a week.

I love my leoperd geckos because they need calm energy so handeling and caring for them is almost like caring for a rock garden or meditating in that aspect. It is very peaceful and something I genuinely look forward to doing every day!

I was excited the first time I saw you have a chohoua (spelling?) gecko. I'm actually planning on getting my first leopard gecko next year, and after that I know I want to get a chohoua. so sad :( i have visited quite a few reptile shops around the south of england and have been to this one :( some setups are cool, but the leos are lacking. there were bowls of undusted wax worms and mealworms left in there :(

Ah how strange, do you try to handle him regularly? Sometimes people will tell me they can't tame it but they'll only handle it once a week. Whereas I find best results come from holding them a little bit daily.

Hi... I'm from Portugal and I learned all about leopard geckos through your channel and some web research too, I have a female leopard gecko that looks just like your Gizmo. Her name is Kita and I bought her while she was 6 months old in last year December, she's now 81g and 23cm long and so bright and lovable with a big fat tail. I am in love with my leopard gecko! I have other reptiles (a corn snake, a crested gecko, and a blue tongue skink) i wasn’t sold on them as I thought oh everyone has one. But I found some that needed to be rescued and I had the all the necessary enclosure, enrichment, heating, so I thought why not!!?? I love her so much and can’t imagine life without her. Such great little pets

I know it might seem discouraging seeing the dislikes but don't phase yourself and your valid opinion just because some people didn't like called off on buying pets that are not suited for them and are incapable of taking care them PROPERLY!!! Yes I can get a pet from a pet store.. Then what? A good pet owner isn't one where their pet barely survives in bad conditions and surely not one that says my pet doesn't need these stuff, he is perfectly fine. I am glad you did your previous video. Your knowledge and experience is tremendously important 💗💗💗💗💗

Just want to say I've been watching your videos for a few years now, but it wasn't until recently that I got my first leopard gecko. (I raised three crested geckos, though.) If it weren't for your videos, I don't think I would've had the confidence to take in a rescue Leo and give him the best possible enclosure and setup. I did do other research, but I've always appreciated that you go above and beyond for your animals. I don't know why any true animal lover would want to settle for the bare minimum. My rescue came to me with swollen feet and sores from shedding problems, as well as a calcium deficiency. After a vet visit, I had to give him daily antibiotics and soaks. But all his sheds in my care have been absolutely perfect, and he's doing amazing now. 😊 (I'm in the US, but I managed to get him stocked up on Arcadia supplements, the Deep Heat Projector, and the Shadedweller. I think it's safe to say those really made a difference in his progress!)

We have a very sensitive Leopard Gecko. We got her from someone that did not want it anymore and of course moving it caused stress. We then moved her again within the house and the same thing happened. Now after a year she is quite settled and allows us to handle her. What we did was leave her alone for a while then started handling her slowly in short bursts and now she is quite settled and we are definitely keeping her as another stressful event might set her back with no guaranty she'll recover as she is older now.

In my experience, leopard geckos don’t intimidate people as much as most other reptiles. They see the smaller size and their rounded head and think that they’re adorable. It help with family members or friends who are afraid of reptiles.

I think being informed both why you should or should not buy a pet are equally valid videos. I've always had a soft spot for leopard geckos and am considering buying one soon. Your videos are so well presented and very informative!

I think the vid about cons of owning a leopard gecko is actually really helpful to pets and pet owners because not all people are meant to be pet owners, and more people should be aware of that for the sake of animals & themselves. :)

I have several snakes and lizards and my leopard gecko has by far the most personality, even more so than my bearded dragon! I adore them all but she certainly has a special place in my heart! 💕🦎

I personally would never see myself getting a reptile of any sort. They just don’t really appeal to me and I don’t feel I’d be able to give them the proper care. However, I love watching your videos. :) I find them super interesting. You approach many different topics on reptile care, and I find myself knowing a lot about something I won’t have!
