Staffies are known for being affectionate dogs, and when they lick you, that's most likely what they're doing - showing you they love you!
There are a few other reasons your Staffy may be licking you, though. The most important one to know is that they may be uncomfortable in a situation. Perhaps you're around a stranger and they don't feel safe. Your Staffy will lick their own nose to tell you that they're not comfortable.
But, most of the time, your Staffy simply wants to say hello to you and show you their love.
If the licking gets too much, though, simply say no in a firm voice to tell them to stop. The main thing is to not give them attention when they lick you. Be consistent with saying no to licking, and your Staffy will learn quickly. 🦴
