BLUE STAFFY: Do BLUE Dogs Actually Exist? 🐕
In this video we talk all about the gorgeous Blue Staffy. If you're familiar with the Staffy breed, then you'll know what a Blue Staffy is. If not, you may have this strange image of a bright blue dog... that's not the case!
Blue Staffies usually have a jet grey coat with blue tints in certain lights. This is due to the careful breeding of a blue and black Staffy.
We go over exactly what a Blue Staffy is, important breeding information, and what they look like.

They suffer from skin allergy's it's very common and carried in the blue gene mine has suffered allergy's all his life so take note if anyone's thinking of getting a blue staff 🐾

My rescue blue staffy has beautiful gray blue eyes as well. I thought they would change as he got older. He is such a handsome and sweet 3yr old boy. Thanks for the info. Rescue is far better than going to a breeder.

The blue colour in staffies can sometimes suffer a condition called colour dilute alopecia where the hair becomes thin and looks like they have balding patches. The so called rare blue staffy was the biggest con going because I mostly see blue staffies everywhere I go these days.

Puppy Mills are a problem in my area of the US. I feel like it's because the breeding license are for a tremendous number of dog, i.e a small cenal license usually start @ 10-20 dogs, going up to like 60. I would encourage breeding pairs should be owned by individuals/families that are networked with other viable individuals/families. This is dear to me. Ten thousand blessings to you and yours.☺️

The blue Paul was around in the 1700 hundreds I think it helped create the bull breeds

Whether it's the breed as a whole or the colour of a breed, when fashion is involved the dogs always suffers. When choosing a dog I believe one of the most important things to consider is the breeds energy levels and choose a breed with the same energy levels as you. If you spend most of your time sat in front of the tv it's not a good idea the get a breed of dog that's designed to be out working all day like a Collie. On the other hand if you want a dog to come on 10 mile runs with you don't get a Bulldog.

I have been wanting a blue Staffie for a decade. Now my husband and I googled for a good breeder and found a blue puppy. But the breeder from Germany (GnG) asked for 4‘500.- € and told us it was not good of us to ask for its price and we should never ask for prices… I personally found that very expensive and she told us to save up for it and never get any cheaper staffie from England as they would be of bad colour quality and health …. Is this true?

@@hetrodoxly1203 says who ? Where the blue from then. The English was working dogs before America was even colonised. The American pit bull is a English dog just a long legged Staffordshire bull terrier

@@Prestonbullterriers I don't dispute what you say about origins, but there's no evidence to support where the blue came from, probably selective breeding as in all the other blue breeds of dogs, blue x blue loses the colour, you have to cross back to black.

Staffies are my life I absolutely adore them. Where I live theirs so called staffie breeders who are selling blue staffies but they are full of disabilities one guys entire collection of newborn pups were all disabled he was caught putting them in a pillowcase and throwing them in the river Derwent. 95% of breeders are bad candy where as 5% are genuine dog lovers the rest are in it simply to make money. As soon as a dog's given birth their already trying to get her pregnant again it's about rape and torture. Excellent content. I'm proud of my fellow Brits voting staffies as number 1 I love all dogs but staffies come on their perfect

they exist, but it has become marketing. The colour is actually undesirable my breeder have been working with the breed for more than 40 years and she said the colour tends to have genetic problems and nobody wishes to have a dog that starts balding at the age of 3-5 years. So now you know what's up every colour of staffy is ok except for blue and there is a myth that says solid white are not desired as well, but its not 100% confirmed.

Black&tan is considered undesirable too. My friend have a b&t staffie though and I think they are just as beautiful as the Blue ones

Alot of blues are oversized and poorly bred.

Not a desirable colour because it's actually a black with the recessive. A good blue dog with solid dark eye and black nose , lips and eyeline is very very rare and a better pigmented dog of another colour will and should beat a blue at show.
