Here it IS y'all. The perfect hamburger recipe. When I was first learning how to make burgers, I started out pretty simple. Frozen patties from Costco on the cheapest buns I could find. Straight delish. And there's nothing wrong with that at all! But we're big boys and girls, and I think it's time for a grown up, homemade burger. If you haven't heard of a smashburger in recent years, you must be staying off the grid. Respect. But a cheeseburger recipe is more than the sum of its parts. It's about good ingredients, and some simple technique. So in under 5 minutes we're going to tackle an easy burger recipe for beginners and gourmet burger pros alike. You can use any combination of these tips - but together? They make the perfect juicy bbq burger. Make sure to pick up a cast iron pan or skillet if you don't already have one - and remember you don't have to do these on a grill. You can make this hamburger on the stove. You can make this hamburger in a pan. You can throw these down right on your stovetop and make em with your kids since it's such an easy dinner recipe. The thumbnail doesn't lie friends. You can finally have a gourmet burger at home - because this is a smashburger recipe for your grandkids.

great video! What temperature do you run your traeger when using the griddle? and aside from space does it work ok compared to your blackstone? I want to get a griddle for my pellet grill, but not sure if it would get hot enough.

I would keep your Traeger as high as it can go! The griddle cools off quickly after cooking on it, and needs a few minutes to heat back up before adding more burgers. Traegers obviously can't get as hot as something like a gas grill so I would just keep it on high

That MSG tip!! I’ve been wanting to use it ever since I read the reports on how it’s not actually bad for you… Any suggestions on where to buy it? I feel like I’ve not seen it in stores, but maybe I’m just not looking.

It's in stores! Since all the bad press you can usually find it rebranded as "Accent - Flavor Enhancer"

But I have a question, brother, what is the ideal ratio that combines salt and MSG?

Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. There's many opinions on this, but as I shared in the video I think 2 parts salt, to 1 part msg is generally a good ratio. You can also just dust it on your food right before cooking for a subtle addition. Happy cooking!
